- Chianti Road - Meet your local driver in Florence and board your vehicle. Meeting point in Via del Curtatone n.9 - Florence. Drive through the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, admiring its flowering vineyards, tall cypresses, sunflowers and hillside villages. First scheduled stage: in a historic cellar with direct production of: Chianti Classico, Chianti reserve, Super Tuscan and Vernaccia. Where… after a short visit to the cellars and the explanation of the wines and techniques, you will taste the fabulous Chianti wines. - San Gimignano - After the tasting we will move to San Gimignano, for a free visit of the famous medieval village: The visit of the town and its magnificent towers will take about an hour. San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town not far from Siena. Known as the “Town of Fine Towers”, during the Middle Ages there were more than 70 towers in the city. Now it is a real open-air museum, where it seems to walk in the medieval period. The town also is known for saffron, the Golden Ham, and its white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced from the ancient variety of Vernaccia grape which is grown on the sandstone hillsides of the area. In the main square don’t forget to taste the best ‘ice cream in the world’ (Gelateria Dondoli), and in the streets of the village you can admire the extraordinary work of expert craftsmen. After the visit we’ll come back to Florence.

Be guided through the verdant landscape of the “Sweet Hills of Chianti” on a private tour, tasting Chianti Classico wine and other famous Tuscan wines, such as “Super Tuscan” and “Vernaccia”, at a family-run winery. Learn basic winemaking techniques and discover the legend of the “Black Rooster” (symbol of Chianti).
Afterwards we will visit the famous village of San Gimignano, a medieval open-air museum, where the population still lives in the beautiful towers. You will be fascinated by the medieval streets with traditional shops and fine craftsmanship.
