• Piazza Santa Croce - In the company of a local guide you will learn something of the city’s history, especially during the Renaissance period. You will see first the outside of the Church of Santa Croce, the principal Franciscan church of Florence with its wonderful frescoes.

• Ponte Vecchio - Then it is on to Piazza dei Peruzzi and the Bargello Palace. A short walk will bring you to the Porcellino market and here your guide will tell you all about the Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s oldest bridge dating back to the 14th century.

• Piazza della Signoria - As you meander through Florence’s streets and piazzas you come to the political centre of the city, Piazza della Signoria. On one side is the Uffizi Gallery once the home of the Great Duke’s of Florence and on the opposite side of the piazza the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, former seat of the Florentine government.

• Piazza del Duomo - The final visit of the tour is to the famous Piazza Duomo with its marvelous cathedral noted for its dazzling green and white marble.

At this point your guide will take you to the Basilica of San Lorenzo where you will say your goodbyes and then be free to explore this wonderful church at your leisure.
