A great tour of the Uffizi and Accademia Gallery - Having Giacomo as our tour guide was a delightful experience. He was a great raconteur who brought focus and clarity to an incredibly complex collection. He moved us very efficiently through the crowded galleries; we rarely waited in line. By pointing out key features of many artworks, he helped us to more deeply understand the times when they were created. This guided tour was well worth it!

Very good…but - It’s a good tour, Susana (our guide) is very profesional, but I consider the tour too expensive. You should give your regular clients a discount.

Excellent Way to see Florence - Giacamo was an amazing host! Insightful, funny and had a wondeful Italian charm. He hit all the highlights in the gallery without feeling like anything was missed; every question was answered with grace. Showing hidden details in the work that I wouldnt have spotted in a million years. He even took us to his own personal favourite artwork which was great touch. The tickets reserved also meant there was next to no queueing which was very much appreciated on a 30 degree day! Giacamo also recommended a great local, family-owned lunch spot which had been open for 100years and the food was amazing! Couldn't recommend the experience (or Giacamo) more!

Fantastic Tour!! - Maria was an amazing guide and a wealth of great information on Florence and all the works in the Uffizi and the Galleria. The day was like a mini-course in Renaissance Art History and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. She also customized the tour based on our interests and had great recommendations on local spots and restaurants to visit as well. I highly recommend.

Excellent Tour of Uffizi answer Academia Galleries - What a fabulous private tour provided today by Made of Tuscany and our amazing guide Giacomo. We saw so many people walking around both galleries with books and earbuds so they could get obtain basic info about the pictures and sculptures. We, however, were able to find out the details of each work and the story behind each work that really made the works come to life, and in turn, made each work more interesting. Giacomo was able to mix the descriptions of the works with histories of the time, stories of the artists (and their employers, families, loves, etc.) and humor. The hours flew by as we saw famous works in a way we never would have seen or understood without Giacomo. Our family highly recommends Made of Tuscany and our guide Giacomo.

Knowledgeable tour of Ufizzi and Academia - Susannah was an extraordinary good guide to the Ufizzi and Academia. She was patient, informative, and entertaining. She offered us options and knew what to skip and what to examine more closely. I cannot recommend her highly enough -- she was great.

Beyond amazing! - When a guide is passionate about their subject, tours are educational, steeped in history, and the artwork comes alive. Giacomo was all of this and more. Of the many tours we took over 10 days in Italy, this tour with Giacomo was our favorite. When it was over (and we did not want it to end), we felt as if we had participated in a master’s class. Giacomo gave us insight into the artwork that came before, why it was constructed in the manner it was, who the masters were who taught the legends we know, and the techniques they developed (and why). This tour is worth every penny, and we will long remember our friend, Giacomo! “Highly recommend” doesn’t begin to express our appreciation.

Great tour if you are an art lover. Not great for those who cannot listen about the same painting for 15 min. - This is probably a great tour for art lovers who can stare at the same painting for 20 min while listening about its every detail. Unfortunately, that is not us. We also did not realize and appreciate that this tour is 100% about art and pretty much nothing else, so that is on us. Our tour guide (Giacomo) was very nice and humorous at times. However, we told him numerous times that we do not need very long lectures about every painting, but that request was pretty much ignored even through only a third of our group was pretending to listen. Others were just trying to wait out the long lectures while trying to find a seat.
