Awakening The Duomo - Early Entrance - The Cathedral is so beautiful early in the morning and then to experience the lights coming on inside is worth the early start time. The Baptistery, and then the climb up the dome is an experience you’ll never forget. The coffee and pastry after opening the Cathedral is a very nice touch.

A beautiful way to start the day - This is the best way to see the Duomo - early before the crowds arrive when it feels most like a holy space. The views from the top are amazing.

Early access to Duomo - Being the first group into the cathedral was very nice, especially on a hot day! It was a small group and felt we had the entire place to ourselves. Upon finishing, there were hundreds of people in line. So glad we got out early to beat the crowd.

A Highlight of Florence - The climb was pretty strenuous but the views made it so worth with it. The early morning access to the Baptistry, Cathedral, and Dome before the crowds was well worth the early wake up and money!

Definitely worth the money - Amazing feeling to watch them open the door to this incredible building. Tour guide was exceptional with amazing knowledge of not just the Duomo but of the baptistry and the artists who created them. Definitely worth getting up early. Also the streets are empty so photographs are easy and great

Witness the cathedral come to life - Laura is an excellent guide. We were spoiled today and got to experience the beauty of Florence as it wakes up and starts to get ready - it is an early start but navigating the city at 0630 is easy. Me and my partner were the only two in this tour. We followed behind the key holder has this beautiful cathedral was opened. The only other people there were the four or five people employed at the church who quickly disappeared to get the building ready for the inevitable swarm of tourists. And then it was just the guide, my partner, and myself witnessing the space before and after the lights come on. Same story with the baptistry. And being the first guests to climb the Duomo as others began filtering into the building felt great. We were given a cappucino and a pastry from a nearby shop. The ticket we have is good for three days and we used it after the tour to access the nearby museum. It will also get us into the bell tower as well as the crypt. Definitely one of the most special tours we have been on - thank you for the wonderful experience!

A horrible experience by Florencetown/Tours of Italy, booked through Viator. Viator stepped up. - I booked this trip with Viator and they only had availability for one person when I called. They told me to book the one spot and gave me the name of the operator to contact directly. I was told they only take 10 people which was a lie. They had booked 16 people on this tour. I was told they had an opening for a 2nd person a couple of days before my tour and Viator confirmed it. A day before the tour I received a notice that they had canceled the trip. I immediately called Viator and they looked into it. Ultimately they said that the Florencetown/Towns of Italy had confirmed it again for two people. I got up at 5:00 am to be at the church at 6:30 am only to be told they only had one ticket and my niece could not go on the tour. I was livid. This was my last day in Florence and I was not able to do the terraces and or climb the dome. Viator did the right thing and credited me back since we were not able to go on the tour. I would absolutely recommend NOT to use Florencetown tours. It is inexcusable how they treated my niece and myself. They ruined my last day in Florence.

Disappointing Experience - We booked the 'Skip The Line' tour. After meeting with the group at the meeting/check in spot and receiving our head set, we stood in line, like anyone else. The guide had no clue how to enter and was asking others in line how to enter. It took well over 30 minutes before we were able to enter. After entering, we were told the Duomo was closed due to a scheduled event. So we stood in a long line, only were able to see less than 1/2 of the promised tour and were never offered anything in return. This company is good for getting tickets when the official ones are sold out, but very unprofessional and unorganized.
