Highlights
  • Florence - Meet your guide and fellow travelers in Florence before heading towards the Tuscan wine country. During the journey, your guide will outline the day’s itinerary.
  • Tenuta Riseccoli - After a 45-minute drive, arrive at Riseccoli, an organic, family-owned winery perched on a hilltop. The estate epitomizes the quintessential beauty of Tuscany with its rolling hills, vineyards, olive trees, Mediterranean forests, and scattered farmhouses. After the tour, you’ll sample a selection of their wines and olive oil.
  • Greve in Chianti - Following a scenic drive through the Tuscan wine country, you’ll reach Greve in Chianti, a typical village in the Chianti Classico region and the birthplace of the renowned Tuscan explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, who discovered New York Harbor. Spend approximately 30-45 minutes exploring Piazza Matteotti, a gently sloping square that serves as the heart of Greve, and browse the local shops and wine stores, including the famous butcher shop Falorni.
  • Chianti Road - Depart Greve in Chianti and enjoy a 30-minute drive along the famous Chianti Road, characterized by rolling hills, vast vineyards, and olive trees, before arriving at the second winery.
  • Casa Emma - At the second winery, you’ll begin with an introduction to the estate’s history and an explanation of the winemaking process, including the secrets of producing Chianti red wine and Tuscan olive oil, renowned worldwide. After the tour, sit down for a typical Tuscan light lunch paired with various wines (Chianti Classico, Riserva, Super Tuscans, etc.) and olive oil, a key ingredient in Italian cuisine.
  • Poggio Torselli - The final stop is at Villa Poggio Torselli, a historic family-owned villa and winery. Here, you can admire views of Florence and one of the area’s most beautiful Italian gardens (weather permitting). Sample their authentic products, made with deep respect for local cultivation traditions, with most plants being indigenous varietals, particularly Sangiovese. This third stop is the perfect way to conclude your wine and food experience, offering a comprehensive overview of Tuscan wines by comparing the products and philosophies of three different local winemakers.
  • Florence - Conclude your day with a relaxing 45-minute drive back to the starting point in Florence.

Fun and Informative - Great Day! - There were 11 in our family group and another 15 or so on the bus. EVERYONE had a great time! Jason was our guide who kept things lively all along the way! Lots of laughing and singing! Our driver was Massio. He handled the transportation part of the tour like a real pro! We were happy to leave the driving to him! Before the wineries, we made a stop to acknowledge and pay our respects at the Florence American Cemetery. Our soldiers who died in WWII were buried here. It is so well-kept and beautiful. The citizens here still remember the allies and sacrifices that were made! We went to three beautiful wineries. Hospitality at all three vineyards was outstanding. We were treated with respect and care everywhere! The wines were delicious! The appetizers and lunch were very good, too! We became well-educated on all things Chianti and IGT. I highly recommend this company for a tour! Money and time well-spent! 😊💖🍷

Good tour - Loved this tour ! Beautiful countryside and a good variety of large and small wineries . Also got plenty to eat as well . If you get car sick the road can be a little windy but sitting at the front of the bus helped . Both the guide and the driver made the trip fun!

Best Tour from Florence - We loved this wine tour! The views were amazing and we tasted some great wines. Our tour guide, Leo, was also amazing! I highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our time in Florence. The roads are very windy and narrow, so I recommend packing some nausea medicine for the car.
