Highlights
  • Florence - We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Florence at 7am. Our driver typically arrives at your address by 6:45am. The drive to La Spezia train station will take around 2 hours.

  • La Spezia - Your private transport from Florence will stop in La Spezia. Here, you’ll board a train heading to Cinque Terre. Based on time, weather, and other factors, your experienced guide will determine the order of the villages you visit.

  • Riomaggiore - The southernmost of the five villages is Riomaggiore, named after the major river that once flowed through the town. Riomaggiore is known for its small harbor, tall colorful houses, and vibrant fishing boats.

  • Manarola - Moving north, we reach Manarola. The village’s name comes from a large wheel (Magna Rota) that once powered the local mill. Manarola is famous for its narrow alleyways that climb into the terraces behind the colorful houses in the harbor.

  • Corniglia - Corniglia, named after the Roman family Gens Cornelia, is the smallest of the five villages and sits 100 meters above sea level. To reach Corniglia, you can either climb the Lardarina, a 383-step pathway from the train station, or take one of the regular buses.

  • Vernazza - Vernazza is unique in Cinque Terre for its small port, which allows ships to dock in the protected bay. Here, you can visit the beautiful church of Santa Margherita in the main square or the Tower of Castello Dorio, which offers the most stunning view of Cinque Terre.
Lunch will be arranged by your guide and will be taken between 12:00pm and 1:00pm. The meal will include local seafood dishes, fresh pasta, and a glass or two of local wine.

  • Monterosso al Mare - The fourth village to be visited is Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the five coastal villages. The village is situated on hills cultivated with lemons, vines, and olives. From here, you’ll take a scenic boat ride to the next village, Riomaggiore.

  • La Spezia - After visiting all five villages, you’ll take a short ride back to La Spezia train station. Depending on time, weather, and other factors, your experienced guide will arrange a boat trip between two of the villages. This trip will take you out into the Ligurian Sea, offering incredible views of the five lands from the water. Please note that boats may not run on rare occasions due to sea conditions.

  • Florence - Your guide will drop you back at your original pickup location. With prior notice, guides can also drop clients at other locations.

Fantastic last minute day trip to the coast. - My wife, 17 yo daughter and myself had a fantastic trip with Niccolò. He attended to our every need to and from Florence. The van ride from hotel was comfortable. The guided tour amongst the 5 towns was excellent. Lunch was fine. We were allowed free time throughout the day and took the boat back at the end. He was a consummate host

A must trip from Florence! The Cinque Terre private day trip! - A day trip with Enotopea to Cinque Terre is a must do when visiting in the Florence area! My tour guide Ryan arrived promptly on time at 7:00 AM to pick us up at our hotel in Florence in our requested vehicle! He drove us directly to Cinque Terre, arranged all boat and train transportation between each town, provided details and history about each town and stayed with us throughout the tour taking excellent care of us. Enotopea also included an excellent lunch during our visit at a seaside restaurant. Can’t say enough good things about Ryan!!! He was an excellent tour guide going above and beyond for us even giving us the last 2 seats on the shuttle bus and running back to meet us at the train station to catch the last train out! ! And to top it off, drove us to Pisa for a quick photo op! Thanks Enotopea for our best tour on our Italy vacation! Mike Jennings

What a great day! - We loved that the tour was just the 2 of us sisters, it made it really fun. Our tour director was amazing! She showed us a lot of cool places and gave us options on what we wanted to do multiple times, which was very thoughtful. We really enjoyed talking and getting to know her over the course of the day :) I think if anyone has the chance to do this tour, definitely book it! I couldn’t imagine going and doing it ourselves.

Breathtaking views must do experience. - Angel was an exceptional guide who customized my tour to make it one of the best private tours I have ever experienced. The value I received was truly worth it. I highly recommend booking a tour with him. Not only is Angel friendly, but he is also highly professional and knowledgeable.

Day of Cinque Terre Fun - Johnny was our guide for the day and from the moment he arrived to pick us up, he was so knowledgeable and informative. He has much patience and kindness. He was very accommodating especially with my 85 year old mom. This tour is ALOT of walking and stairs and amazing sites. We visited each village but one because we opted for a stop in Pisa. Don’t regret it one bit. It was all beautiful. Johnny took us to some great places and lunch was amazing. Nice spot to rest and enjoy great Italian food. We would definitely use Enotropea Wine Tours again for any future trips back to Florence. They do more than the tour we had. Had I known, we would’ve booked more. Can’t go wrong! Highly recommend!!!

A day to remember - We had a pleasant and memorable day on this private tour. Our guide Daria kept us interested and entertained throughout the trip and kept good care of us. Seeing the tour groups, it felt much more relaxing to be with a personal guide talking directly to us. She shepherded us through multiple small train rides and pointed out the difference between the towns. We have lots of photos of us together as a couple because she suggested different photo spots. Lunch was delicious too!

Too much for 1 day - This is too much for 1 day. The drive to and from Florence takes up a lot of time. We found that the guide was more interested in getting us up to the top of the city for a view and a few pictures and then on to the next town. Lunch was subpar and not on the seaside as I thought it would be. We decided to cut the trip short and go back to Florence early. Too much money and not enough value.
