A fun morning and worth doing - We chose to go canyoneering with Uteguiden in Valldal, Norway, and it was a solid experience. Our guides, Axle and Inca, were knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring everyone felt safe throughout the adventure. The group size was a bit larger than I would have liked, but the guides managed the group well. Unfortunately, the trip did not include rappelling, which made the activity more accessible for participants of varying skill levels. While this allowed us to focus on the fun parts, like cliff jumps and navigating through the beautiful canyons, I personally missed the thrill of rappelling. Pay attention to the advice the company provides - a wool base layer is important for enjoying the experience. The water is very cold and unlike previous canyoneering experiences I’ve had, UteGuiden offers wet suits (not dry suits). One bonus was that the guides brought a GoPro and took pictures they provided free of charge. The scenery in Valldal is stunning, with lush greenery and clear waters that enhance the adventure. Overall, while it may not have been the most exhilarating outing I’ve had, it was enjoyable and well-organized. If you’re looking for a safe and scenic canyoneering experience, Uteguiden is a good option.
