He was very knowledgeable and took excellent care of us throughout the day. The Coastal Treasures & King Crab Wildlife Tour is a must-do, combining the best of both sea and land. On Markus’ recommendation, we also visited the restaurant Snoy, where we enjoyed a wonderful dining experience that perfectly rounded off the day. A magical experience from start to finish – highly recommended!

A fantastic Experience - We came off a cruise ship with just one day to get to know Honningsvag. We found the North Cape Experience On Tripadvisor. As soon as we walked up to the office we were met by Markus. Immediately we were put at ease with his laid back demeanor. Paperwork was a breeze and before we knew it , we were exiting the harbor in thier RIB boat. The vistas were overwhelming as we went down the coast. Markus pulled a King Crab trap , actually had a few! We then went on to cruise by an older settlement and even saw a white Reindeer. Afterwards we went on to tour the Bruket Fish Factory before going back to Honningsvag. A little bit about our guide Markus - he was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. Most importantly, we felt like we left with a guide but returned with a friend. What a day. What an experience! Highly recommend! On a side note, on Markus' recommendation we visited the restaurant across the wharf for a King Crab feast. It wasn't cheap, but well worth it!

Great trip amazing experience - It was easy to find out about at the tourist information . The guide Mark was very informative and made sure we got to see everything coming back once the mist had cleared to see the amazing sights. He was very clear and concise giving us lots of information. The minibus was clean and safe. It was a great afternoon excursion. Highly recommend

Excellent small-group tour to the North Cape - On what seemed set to be an overcast and rainy cruise stop day in Honningsvag, my wife and I had intended just to explore the town on foot, get some lunch (at Honnibakes, which we’d enjoyed on a previous visit) and return to the ship. However, the weather wasn’t quite as bad as we’d expected and we were interested in possibly seeing more of the island, so we enquired at the tourist information office to see if we could get a short taxi tour or similar. They told us that the North Cape Experience people had a tour leaving in a few minutes and one of their team was there and able to give us more details. He was extremely helpful and answered our questions about how we would manage with my wife’s mobility scooter, so we decided to go for it, which proved to be a very good decision. We first stopped at their office nearby in Honningsvag to pay and to see their tank full of king crabs, which we viewed with interest. He took one out to show my wife who was sitting in the van and for whom getting out would have been difficult. Then we set off on the 3.5 hour tour. The vehicle was an 8-seat VW van but there was only one other couple on the trip; they sat in the front, next to the driver and we had the whole of the next row to ourselves, which was nice. I don’t know how many they can take but I think it would feel crowded with eight people on board, but with four it was perfect. The main aim of the trip was to take us to the North Cape itself but we stopped along the way for photos of the beautiful island scenery and also at a Sami settlement where we saw some reindeer close up, as well as the Sami couple in their traditional dress. Next stop was the North Cape itself, where there is a lot to see and do, so we had quite a long time there, which was fine. Our driver was around to answer questions and suggest things we might like to see whilst there but wasn’t intrusive, so we had a very positive experience at the North Cape, despite the rather poor weather. Our driver was very knowledgeable and spoke good English so was very interesting, both at the various stops and while in the van. The only problem was that the sound of his voice didn’t carry well into the second row of seats where we were sitting so that often, despite his efforts to speak up, we missed a lot of what he was saying. If anyone had been sitting in the third row, they wouldn’t have heard anything. Overall then this was a relaxed and interesting tour with a pleasant and knowledgeable guide in a very small group. It cost us £234 for two of us, which I’m sure compares favourably with the ship’s equivalent excursion and was far better than being crammed into a large tour coach with many other people (and of course none of the ship’s tours allow mobility scooters, for some reason). So we would strongly recommend the North Cape Experience if your cruise stops in Honningsvag.

Excellent VIP tour with knowledgeable guide to North Cape - An excellent VIP trip to the North Cape with our tour guide, Marian. He has a deep knowledge about the region.  The "North Cape and King Crab Tour with Sami Camp Tour" takes around 3.5 hours. The travel from Honnigsvåg to North Cape offers good scenary view along the road and passes several points to take pictures including raindeer and Sami camp.  The tour allows around 1.5 hours at North Cape.

Very disappointing, a tourist catch - Nothing extraordinary. Visit to a cod canning factory, 3 king crabs in an aquarium, a basic sea walk, a deserted fishing village. Really very disappointing, Price quality ratio very exaggerated. No fishing is offered on site. Yet the title of the release made you dream of "King Crab Safari". If I had known . . .
