⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Authentic Moroccan Cooking with a Wonderful Family - Had an incredible cooking experience with Chef Fatima and her son at Palais Bab Sahra. They let us choose our dishes from their menu, then guided us through the local markets to select fresh ingredients. We made tajine and couscous under their expert guidance – both turned out delicious! What sets this class apart is the warm, family atmosphere. Chef Fatima and her son treated us like relatives, sharing cooking secrets and stories while ensuring we mastered each technique. They served additional Moroccan appetizers that complemented our meal perfectly. More than just a cooking class, this was a genuine cultural exchange. From market navigation to final plating, every moment felt personal and special. The knowledge we gained will let us recreate these authentic Moroccan dishes at home. If you're in Fez, don't miss this opportunity to cook with this talented family. It's an experience that will enhance your appreciation of Moroccan cuisine and culture. -Eric & Elise

Authentic Moroccan cooking experience - The highlights: The beautiful kitchen to cook located inside a beautifully designed Palais with market to table ingredients! The experience to cook authentic Moroccan flavors in their traditional tagine cookware. Gracious hosts!

Most flavorful food in all of Morocco - We met at the restaurant where we were given a basket and then we headed into the market to pick up fresh ingredients for our meal. We then came back to the kitchen where we learned how to make mint tea. We enjoyed the mint tea and some cookies. Then we learned how to make a Moroccan salad and tajine with our choice of meat. The tajine takes an hour to cook, so we were taken to the rooftop overlooking the city to enjoy some appetizers while we waited. All of the food was the best flavors we tasted in all of Morocco. We highly enjoyed the pumpkin dip, artichoke dip, and chili dip. The tajine also was packed with flavor and spices. Our only complaint is that we got too full and couldn't eat any more. Highly recommend this cooking class!

Such a blast - so happy we went with this class! - This class was such a joy and highlight of our trip. Mohammed and Fatima kept things light, fun, and interactive the whole way through and made sure that everyone in the group felt included. The walk through the souk to purchase ingredients was nice and didn't take too long - we focused on prepping ingredients and cooking most the time. The food was DELICIOUS, we learned a lot, and we got to admire the beautiful restaurant from all floors - even the 360 rooftop. It took us a while to select a cooking class (there are so many) but I'm so glad we chose this one. The location and everything else about it was just perfection.

Great Experience - The experience was really fun and the tagine we made was some of the best food we ate in Morocco but the experience takes about 5 to 6 hours from arrival to departure. Mohammed helped us with everything and was really great. I highly recommend him.

Super fun! - Mohammed and Fatima were so much fun. From beginning to end we had an authentic local experience. We shopped for veggies and meat in the market with Mohammed. He knew all the best venders to purchase from and made the process fun and informative.

5 Stars all the way! - One you figure out that the Palais Bab Sahra is in the Medina, you will be on your way to a great evening! Mohammed greeted us and then took the group shopping for some local produce and protein. Then we went back to the beautiful restaurant and hung out for 10-15 minutes while we waited for the chef to start our experience. When Fatima showed up we were off to the races. They gave you a few dishes to choose from. I went with the Kafta and it was a lot of fun to make with some new techniques I hadn’t seen before. Fatima is the boss! She definitely knows her way around the kitchen so pay attention lol! We ate our salads up on the rooftop terrace with a really nice sunset view overlooking the Medina, and then enjoyed a family meal with our fellow chefs once our dishes were complete. Very clean restaurant. Great cooking environment. 5 Stars all the way!

Fes Medina Cooking Class - Absolutely beautiful place in the medina.Fatima guided us through making chicken tagine and salad. Delicious. Fatima also served cookies and mint tea. Our dinner included a variety of local salads and fruit. You walk a bit through the medina and it opens up to this beautifully restored multi level restaurant.

A great experience - The class was great fun and took place in a well equipped kitchen. Instructions and demonstrations were easy to follow and allowed us to be involved in all aspects of the recipes. Mohammed and Fatima could not have been more helpful or informative. We were then able to relax together and enjoy the fruits of our labours supplemented by lots of extra dishes. Would definitely recommend this class.
