To the west lies Ifrane National Park, home to rare Barbary macaques amidst Atlas cedar forests.

Errachidia - With a population of 45,000, Errachidia is one of Morocco’s oldest and most renowned cities. Situated in the Southeast of Morocco in the Ziz valley of the pre-Saharan Tafilalet region, it lies between the High Atlas Mountains and the desert’s sand hills, in a rocky and stony terrain.

Merzouga, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou, and Marrakech
Ouarzazate - Situated south of Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, Ouarzazate serves as a gateway to the Sahara Desert. Its prominent Taourirt Kasbah, a 19th-century palace, offers views of the rugged landscape, featured in numerous films. To the northwest lies the fortified red-earth city of Aït Ben Haddou, while the rocky Todra Gorge is to the northeast. A road winds southeast through the Draa Valley’s lush palm groves leading to the desert.
Ait Ben Haddou - Ait Benhaddou is a collection of earthen buildings encircled by high walls, representing a traditional pre-Saharan habitat. The houses are densely packed within the defensive walls, reinforced by corner towers. Located in Ouarzazate province, Ait-Ben-Haddou is a remarkable example of southern Moroccan architecture.
