NO way it could have been any better - I don't know what we did to deserve the best, but we got it. Our guide, Hicham, started the complete fascination of Fez in less than one minute out of our Riad door. When he told us he actually grew up in the home next door, we were hooked to every word he said. A 10 minute description of the Riads, Dars, streets, alleys, doors and everything else within the first 20 steps enforced his absolute love and knowledge of the Fez Medina in every way. I could not imagine this 4 hour tour being any better, which actually turned into 5, and he would have kept going if we had let him. A perfect day ending with his dinner recommendation, a perfect dinner.

Mostafa was an excellent... - Mostafa was an excellent guide through the medina. I was lucky to be the only person with him so we had a great conversation while exploring the medina. Mostafa is enthusiastic and knows the medina and the people who live and work there. I could not have had a better experience.

Without a guide, you cannot find your way out of the Medina - Do not attempt to navigate the old city of Fez without a guide. The Medina is huge, with thousands of narrow alleys which they consider streets. You cannot navigate with Google Maps, so do not attempt this without a tour guide. This is a real community - not just a jumble of old buildings. The tannery is a must-see, as is the university. The best part is a pleasant walk in an enormous historic site.

Fun in Fes - I can't say enough about my guide Jamal. He is one of the best I've had anywhere. He was very attentive and went out of his way to show me Fes and explain the history. His choice of shops were high quality. Will tell all my friends about him

Fez, Marrocos - Fez is a beautiful city, clean and organized. Receptive people. It’s worth seeing the city and everything else it has to offer. Be careful with the shops that guides take, like.... wallpapers, ceramics and others, expensive items, too boring sellers.....kkkkkk

Medina to visit necessarily with an official Guide! - It is a real shame that such a beautiful city is inhabited by such unfair and aggressive people. Fortunately we also met people of great depth and I am very sorry that they have to live with such rude people and little respect for vacationers. Recommendation or rather I recommend to be accompanied by an official and recognized Guide for a fair cost. If you are alone you are soon harassed and hired by criminals who will pretend to help you and then threaten you if you do not give them the tip that they themselves require!! We spent moments of terror, they ruined our vacation. The police, fortunately, are ready to rescue you, so do not hesitate to ask for help.
