A touristic taste of Marokko - A 3-day, 2-night trip from Fez to Marrakech that packs an impressive range of experiences into a short time. We were picked up at 7:00 AM near our riad, where we met the rest of the group and our guide. Over the next few days, the group dynamic became an important part of the journey. With around 15 people, plus a driver and guide, the atmosphere stayed positive throughout—helped a lot by having great travel companions. Be prepared for long driving days, averaging around 6 hours per day. That said, the itinerary was clearly explained from the start, which made a big difference. We always knew how long each stretch would take and when we could rest, making the pace easier to handle. The first day included several stops: a coffee break, seeing monkeys in the wild, lunch, and a visit to a scarf shop before heading into the desert. The highlight was definitely arriving at the dunes—where we had time for sandboarding and watching the sunset before riding camels to the camp. The desert camp experience was memorable: a simple but enjoyable dinner, basic (cold) shower facilities, and an evening of music and dancing under the stars. The night was short, as we woke up at 5:00 AM to ride camels back and continue the journey. A few downsides are worth mentioning, mainly around the stops along the way. Most stops are clearly set up for tourists, which is expected on this kind of route. However, some feel more like tourist traps than authentic experiences. The scarf shop is the clearest example. If it’s windy in the desert, you’ll need sunglasses and a scarf—but buy them in advance. The same scarves that can be found elsewhere for around 60 dirhams were priced at 250 dirhams here, and there was no room to negotiate, as they rely on travelers being unprepared. Food stops are slightly overpriced, though not excessively so for this type of tour. The bigger issue is quality: meals are prepared quickly for large groups, which often results in dry chicken and fairly average dishes. Coffee prices are in line with other tourist areas, but pastries are heavily marked up—a pain au chocolat that typically costs around 1 dirham in the medina can go up to 35 dirhams at these stops. One important highlight that deserves to be mentioned is the quality of the guide and driver. Our guide, Mohamed, brought an incredibly infectious energy to the group. He was approachable, funny, and very knowledgeable, always sharing insights along the way while keeping the atmosphere light. He had a strong sense of the group dynamic and knew exactly how to engage everyone—more than once, the entire bus was singing and dancing together. Our driver, Imad, was more on the quiet side but worked perfectly in sync with Mohamed. His driving was smooth and reassuring throughout the trip. Despite the long hours on the road and the sometimes challenging conditions, there was never a moment where we felt unsafe—something that stands out, especially in a country where driving can feel quite different from what many are used to. The trip is intense and fast-paced, but it delivers a lot in a limited timeframe. If you're short on time and want a condensed version of Morocco’s landscapes and experiences, this tour does exactly that—especially thanks to a great team guiding you along the way.

3 Day Excursion - The trip was a wonderful experience. Mehdi - our tour guide - was great. He convinced me to drive a quad/ATV in the desert. So glad I took Mehdi’s advice because the ATV was fun. Would recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour of Morocco! Highly recommend - Our 3-day tour from Fes to Marrakech was truly unforgettable and one of the highlights of our entire trip to Morocco. The experience gave us such a comprehensive view of the country, from stunning landscapes to fascinating cultural sites. Our guide, Mehdi, was incredibly helpful, funny, knowledgeable, and always flexible if anyone needed to stop along the way. Mehdi made the journey even more special by explaining the history and culture of each place we visited in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. We loved seeing the gorge, visiting Ait Ben Haddou with a very informative tour, and the desert camping experience was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Morocco and am so grateful that Mehdi was such a fantastic guide throughout the trip.

For the price, highly recommended. - For the price decent tour. Due to the long distance, it is ensured that the approach is short and crisp. But you are guaranteed to see the breathtaking sunset on the desert.☀️ I would definitely recommend the luxury camps which were Clean and beautiful. Riding a quad bike is a big highlight.

Recommended for those who want to get to know not only the big cities of Morocco. - The tour was very varied. We have seen a lot of Morocco. It is highly recommended! Our driver Hesham was very attentive and organized/accompanied the tour well. He provided us with information about the country or the respective region, planned proper stops without any sales promotions. At the desert camp, he also checked on us to make sure everything went well. Minivan was very good & comfortable, Hesham was a safe driver! Thank you so much! We were picked up at the hotel in Fez and taken to our riad in Marrakech.

Great Mountain and Desert Tour - Three great days in the Atlas Mountains and Desert from Fes to Marrakech. Hakim did an excellent job as the driver / guide. If you want to see more of Morocco than the cities and medians I would recommend this trip. For the basic desert camp you will be joined by many groups from other tours groups for the camel ride. The luggage transfer seems a bit chaotic with hundreds of bags piled in the camp in the dark don’t panic; after hunting a bit all was well and everyone bags arrived safely.
