Day 1: Fes - Azrou - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Camel Tour - Overnight in the Desert
Marrakech Camel Trips - Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga.
The tour begins in Fes in the morning, heading to Ifrane, a beautiful city in Morocco known for its stone chalets and red tile roofs. Just outside Azrou, you will encounter the ancient cedar tree in the cedar forest, “the Gouraud Cedar,” and meet the friendly Berber Apes, who often approach visitors hoping for food.
A lunch break will be taken in Midelt before continuing to Ziz Valley. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, rivers, and villages. The Ziz Valley will captivate you with its vast palm tree oasis, the largest in the country. Before sunset, you will be taken to Merzouga to witness the enchanting sunset and spend the night in a desert camp.
Day 2: Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Ouarzazate
Ouarzazate - Rise early to experience a stunning sunrise over the dunes, followed by a camel ride back to the hotel. After freshening up and having breakfast, the journey continues to Tinghir and the Todra Gorges, concluding in Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Ouarzazate - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas Mountain - Marrakech
Marrakech - After breakfast in Ouarzazate, the drive to Marrakech begins through “the Hollywood of Africa.” Lunch will be at the renowned Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After exploring this UNESCO World Heritage site and Kasbah Taourirt, the journey proceeds through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m over the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made to admire the stunning views and visit the argan oil cooperative. Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the late afternoon.
