• 36FV+85 Fern Tree - The adventure begins at the South Hobart office, where participants will receive a tour briefing, along with a helmet and gloves. An introduction to the bike, including brakes and gears, will also be provided.

Afterward, board the minibus for a 30-minute journey to the summit of Mt Wellington, which stands 1270 meters above sea level. At the top, enjoy 15 minutes to explore and capture stunning photos of the breathtaking views. Then, embark on an exciting 6 km descent down the summit road on your bike. For those who prefer not to ride, there is an option to descend in the support vehicle.

A brief stop at the Lost Freight Cafe follows, allowing time for a drink, snack, and restroom break.

Next, a 15-minute bus ride takes you to the start of the rainforest ride. This 11 km guided ride gently descends through a temperate rainforest. The track is level, wide, with gentle gradients, and easy to navigate. The surface is compact dirt. The guide will share insights on local history and wildlife.

Riders should be comfortable on a bike and possess basic bike handling skills. As the route is downhill, only a basic fitness level is necessary.

If the summit is inaccessible due to road works or adverse weather, a longer ride on the rainforest trail will be offered instead.

Between rides, there is a stop at the Lost Freight Cafe, providing an opportunity to enjoy some refreshments. The ride concludes back at the Hobart office.
