Favorite activity of our trip to Sicily - It was great! The food we prepared was delicious, the hosts were wonderful. But it is a home restaurant, not a farm.

Fabulous! - Exceeded my expectations in all respects! You will come away with more than a cooking class, but feeling the warmth and hospitality of these amazing people, Patricia, Luigi and Salvatore. We had so much fun and learned a few tricks in making all kinds of dishes, including dessert. The spread of food was well thought out and fabulous, variety of meats, different cheeses including fresh ricotta cheese....nothing but the best and freshest!!! We sat in their backyard, drank delicious wine and shared family stories. This was not just a lunch, you will go back home and feel like you made some new friends. We were in Sicily for two weeks, this was one of my favorite things my husband and I did. THANK YOU!!!!

Highly Recommend! - Our group of four women cousins were fully welcomed into the home restaurant of Patrizia and Luigi, along with our wonderful interpreter Salvo. Patrizia taught us how to make cavatelli and a fresh tomato sauce. We then learned how to make cannoli starting with the shells. Luigi poured us all a glass of wine while we were working and visiting. Later we not only got to enjoy these things we made but a full meal complete with delicious caponata, grilled meats, salad, breads and of course our scrumptious pasta!! When one of our husbands arrived to pick us up, he was also invited to sit down and enjoy the meal. We topped off a lovely day with our delicious cannoli and Amaretto! Luigi and Patrizia knew we were next traveling to Palermo and gave us recommendations for a Palazzo to visit (which was beautiful and fascinating!). These people are warm, funny, generous and everyone should do this tour!!

Falsely Represented Tour! Beware! - I booked this tour because it was a cooking class at an olive oil farm with olive oil tasting and a tour of an olive mill. This NOT at an olive mill. It is at a home in a residential area in Agrigento. The hosts were kind, but it was not what we paid for or were expecting. Instead of learning to cook pasta, sauce and cannolis, we learned to make only the pasta and then were given octopus, squid and mackerel all boiled and grilled. We were not given any notice about the strange foods and no one in our family- especially the children— like seafood. We are landlocked in Colorado. Particularly not strange boiled seafood. No one ate anything except the pasta and the awkwardness of being in someone’s home left us feeling pressured to try off-putting gelatinous seafoods. One adult in our party vomited because of eating foods that caused such disgust for people unfamiliar with them. We requested a refund due to false representation of this cooking experience. The tour operator and Viator should be diligent about accurately representing tours. Literally no olive farm in sight. And if such strange foods (to Americans) are to be served it should be made apparent in the description. Very disappointed in Viator for not making this right.
