Highlights
  • German Fountain - German Fountain / Alman Çeşmesi

  • Sultanahmet District - Sultanahmet District

  • Sultanahmet Square - Sultanahmet Square

  • Hippodrome - Hippodrome Square / Atmeydanı Hippodrome; where the chariot races were held in the Roman Empire times, Egyptian Column from Byzantine Empire time and today German Fountain is the main cornerstone of the square of Ottoman Empire.

  • Hagia Sophia Mosque - Hagia Sophia Museum / Ayasofya / Santa Sofia Built in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian, played a very important role in the Christian and Islamic World. After the Ottoman conquest the bells, altar, iconoclastic, and sacrificial vessels were removed, and many of the mosaics were eventually plastered over to convert the church into a mosque then a museum and now it’s a mosque for the second time. The most important stop of an Istanbul tour is operated in Old City Istanbul / Constantinople. *Please note that as it’s not a museum anymore, tour guides don’t have skip-the-line priority there. You may need to wait in the security line, in order to avoid queues we suggest departing at 8:30am or 9:00am

  • Blue Mosque - Blue Mosque / Sultanahmet Camii Built in the early 1600s for Sultan Ahmet I of the Ottoman Empire, the Blue Mosque is truly a magnificent masterpiece of architecture with amazingly delicate proportions for a building of such massive scale.

  • Basilica Cistern - Have to skip one of the mosques to save time to visit the interior of The Basilica Cistern. A former water storage chamber and one of Istanbul’s greatest surviving Byzantine sites.

  • Topkapi Palace - Topkapi Palace Museum / Topkapı Sarayı More than just an Imperial Residence of Ottoman Sultans, it was the seat of the Supreme Executive and Judiciary Council for almost 400 years long. Topkapi Palace is a great monument of Oriental architecture which resembles the power of the Ottoman Empire.

  • Grand Bazaar - Grand Bazaar / Kapalı Çarşı One of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world with over 4,000 shops with colorful products of ceramic, leather, rugs, carpets, handicrafts, clothes, silver, and gold.

Such a fun and exciting tour with Ezgi! - We loved our tour with Ezgi! She was super knowledgeable, fun and was very patient with our teens. We were able to go to Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, did some jewelry shopping and got to see the Blue Mosque. No Haga Sofia since the President was visiting and it was closed. I would highly recommend her as a tour guide and would book with this company again.

Best Tours EVER - Bahar Yakar was our guide. Truly the best two tours I’ve ever been on! The information was so fascinating and presented to us very well despite being in a large group! The tours were fun and engaging even during the summer heat. More than the tours themselves Bahar was the best!! She made sure we made it to wherever we needed to go and stuck around to help us out. Best part of all, food recommendations, Bahar took us to all of the BEST food spots and truly helped us achieve the best possible trip experience possible!! If you go on these tours cross your fingers you get Bahar! She truly felt like family and we were sad to say goodbye.

Recommendation for guide in Istanbul - Bahar Yakar was our guide for our group of 12 people ( 3 families) for 2 days in Istanbul. She was an amazing guide who was very knowledgeable about all the sites she took us. She was very patient and flexible and understood what we wanted to get out of our trip and tailored it very nicely based on our request. Bahar was super friendly and great to work with. Highly recommend her as local guide in Istanbul

Amazing guide! Recommend anytime! - Bahaar was amazing. We would work with her again in a heartbeat. She understood our needs and worked with us to flex to our needs. She went above and beyond for everything including coming back after she has left when we had some confusion on one of our shows. She was knowledgeable, warm, happy to engage in a variety of topics and super patient with our group of teens and adults. Over and above knowing a lot about all the places we visited and willing to engage in a lot discussions around the local culture and environment, she found us places for our kids to shop and helped us coordinate our various logistics. She was awesome!

Knowledge, helpful, attentive and fantastic tour guide - We were out visiting Istanbul with our friends and kids. (12 in total in our party) Bahar Yakar is a fantastic tour guide. She is knowledgeable and went out of the way to help to ensure we had a fantastic time in Istanbul. She took the time to understand our needs and customize the tours accordingly. She is fluent in English and her communication skills are excellent. She introduced us to authentic Turkish food, provided us with historical contexts of the museum and sites we visited in and around Istanbul. She assisted our group with shopping, translating our dietary needs to the restaurants we were visiting and was always attentive to our needs. I would strongly recommend Bahar as a tour guide and would avail of her services again.

Excellent guide and tour! - Our Selim Guide was excellent. He enthusiastically explained the mosques, the basilica cistern, the ancient history of Emperor Justinian, and the sultans in Topkapi! Besides answering all our doubts of Muslim culture! He was very good photographer too and that is appreciated! We were very happy!

Great highlight of the old city - Eren was our tour guide, he was knowledgeable, polite and friendly. We enjoyed our tour with him. Lot of walking and we were tired after 4 hrs of walking so did not made it to grand bazar. I would recommend half day tours for families with young kids.
