Fantastic custom tour with constant communication to address needs - Ibrahim at Turklandtravel did a fantastic job in blending an Aegean tour with 3 overnights in Istanbul. We went thru several iterations as couples had to adjust their dates, rearrange the itinerary. When we had a hiccup on the trip over, we asked his help. He managed to find transport service & arrange unplanned stays within minutes. Attentive to details & adjusting to the specific needs. His command of English is top notch. He assigned some of the best guides. We communicated in a What’s App group he created & made it very easy for all, regardless if you are on Android or iOS.

A fascinating, carefully designed trip around Türkiye. - My husband and I had the most fantastic holiday in Turkey and visiting Rhodes and Samos as well. Our travel agent in Melbourne, Marcus, organised a carefully planned and considered trip with several nights in different most interesting places, which were fascinating, historically amazing and beautiful. The hotels were chosen for the wonderful views (often of the sea), their excellent location in the centre of the old towns and of most interesting historical interest. We flew from Istanbul to Cappadocia and after 4 nights we flew to Antalya. Then we proceeded by personal drivers and guides (always excellent) along the south and west coasts back to Istanbul, staying 2 or 3 nights in different places. A really incredible trip where we were daily cared for and texted by Ibrahim or Marcus’s brother. We thank them most sincerely for designing a wonderful trip and highly recommend it to anyone.

The personal touch - We had a fantastic couple of days in Istanbul, saw all the sights and had long conversations with our guide. Not only did we see and learn the history, we also developed a deep understanding of the culture and people. Nothing was too much trouble and everything went like clockwork. From start to finish they coordinated 3 days in Istanbul, 1 day in Ephesus, and 3 days in Cappadocia. The hotels were very well located and comfortable. Our guide, in Istanbul, Ozden, provided detailed knowledge of the iconic sites we were visiting. He adjusted our schedule when we became tired. A Great tour of an amazing city - Onur our Guide was terrific, great knowledge and assed the queues brilliantly so we had very little waits. Onur also took us to a fab lunch place and then to a coffee place. We saw everything we wanted to do and never felt rushed.

Thoroughly recommended - the best way to tour Istanbul - My wife and I are both around 70 years old. When we arrived by bus from Gallipoli at our hotel Levni in Istanbul very late on a Sunday night, we were concerned about an early start and a potentially exhausting walking tour for the next day - our first visit to Istanbul. We need not have worried. Noting our late arrival, our contact Ibrahim called to say he had upgraded our hotel room, which gave us brilliant views across the Bosphorus. He also advised that he had delayed the start of our tour the next day and limited the group to just we two with our guide Onur - a very private tour. He encouraged us to set the pace ourselves and to finish when we were too tired. The whole two days with Onur were absolutely brilliant. He was courteous, understanding and very knowledgeable, with excellent English, and he was very responsive to our needs and wishes. He ensured that we walked the sights at a sensible pace, had time to look and absorb, and also had time to have a bite for lunch. The second day we spent time on a Bosphorus cruise and then took the ferry across to the Asian side where he escorted us to a number of eateries to sample the local food. At the cruise terminal we bumped into a likeable American couple who were unsure which cruise boat to join. We asked if they could tag along with us, an idea which Onur readily agreed to, and we all had a great time thanks to Onur's diligence and knowledge. We discussed all sorts of issues and ideas with him, from the parrots in the Topkapi palace gardens to giving up smoking! It is fair to say that by the end of our second day, we regarded Onur much more as a friend than just a tour guide. He gave us precise details of when to visit the Blue Mosque the next day (without him) to avoid the crowds, and his advice was absolutely correct - we walked straight in. To help me visit the Turkish Air Force Museum on our last day, Onur helped me purchase the Istanbul transport card, ensured I had enough credit on the card and wrote out instructions for getting there via the Marmaray metro line; it all worked perfectly. For my wife, he guided us to the best street in the city to meet her specific shopping wishes. In every respect he met and exceeded our needs and expectations, and I could not imagine anyone doing better than he did to ensure our first visit was thoroughly enjoyable in every respect.

Well organised - Reliable helpful drivers in Istanbul. Very helpful with timing for airport transfers & with luggage. Made life in this wonderful, busy city just that little bit easier! Highly recommend!
