An unforgettable trip - We visited Cappadocia, and it was an unforgettable trip!
I felt like I was in a fairytale dream. It’s not something that can be described easily—it’s a place that must be seen. Every corner is full of history, and every moment was special.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Veli who took us there, and to everyone involved in making this trip so memorable

Cappadocia - Cappadocia is such a worthy visit, a side trip from Istanbul. It isn’t just about the natural beauty but has thousands of history of early civilizations that still transpire through their art and geography. (I bought a piece of wall art using ancient method and local resource from their local artists. ) You don’t only get to watch but also walk on those remnants. Location has all the convenience and most hotels are within a walking distance from the business center which has all the good food, arts, jewelries, bars and just about anything you need. It is bustling with festive vibe but not overwhelming. For a stress free experience, booking for a tour is the best way to go. Huseyn is so efficient and gets things done, even when I had a last minute request for tour. He is very easy to talk to and has a pleasant personality. He is also very responsive to questions, before or during the tour. From pick ups to transfers and accommodations, everything is set up. The hotel where I stayed was beautiful and unique and was close to the business center. One of my favorite parts of the tour is the underground city, built 8th to 7th century BC, where you get to go in the loops of narrow tunnels and steps. Its structure isn’t like other underground cities as they are carved volcanic ash rocks. It was FUN. The hot air balloon starts set ups at dawn and the set up itself is just as magical as when you are airborne for about 45 minutes of natural beauty and you also get to descend close enough to the rock formations. The balloons are enormous and plentiful, otherworldly with the fire burning illuminating the dawn during set ups and surrounded by a beautiful scenery. Just go. Quite worth it. ^_^

Great service. - My original tour provider on Viator canceled the tour at the last moment, forcing me to scramble to find another agency that could provide the same Cappadocia tour for the days I had planned. Huseyin, from another travel agency, came to our rescue. He promptly arranged the entire tour and sent me the flight tickets. He provided the pickup location, the driver's phone number, and gave instructions for every step of the trip. Even at midnight, he checked in to see how our trip was going. The accommodations and local tour were great. Although the itinerary states that it is a group tour limited to 19 people, there were only four of us during the two days of the trip. The English-speaking guides were very nice and knowledgeable. Huseyin ensured we returned home to the US safely. I call it taking care of the customers from beginning to end.
The only disappointment was that the balloon ride was canceled due to high winds. However, Huseyin promptly refunded the fare in two days.

Nice place to visit. - Great experience. It's one of a kind place to visit.
The cave hotel was a new experiance but the maintenance was poor. The guides were prompt, very knowledgeable and professional. We got an opportunity to taste different foods. The breakfast was like a big feast. The pickup and drop off from the hotel was seemless but takes about fifty minutes one way. The only disappointment was they cancelled the balloon ride because of winds.
I strongly recommend good walking shoes. Going through thr under ground village is a bit exhaustive and in some cases walk through small openings but it's worth the trouble.

Mixed Emotions - We left this tour with mixed feelings. The good - fairly organized and we didn't have to hassle with things to work out the logistics. This to be honest is really why we booked this trip and in this sense they delivered 100. Also, we were not able to go on the balloon ride due to weather and the company did give us a refund for this portion of the tour, though it was not much money back really, but they were prompt about it. They did keep in touch with me on WhatsApp and communicated well. The bad - one of the days of the tour is really just a big waste of time and a collection of tourist traps. They take you to all these "workshops" .... the pottery one is fine and interesting, and the people in this place did not follow us around and try to get us to buy things. However, they take you to this leather place where they do a fashion for you and then you are made to go to this store with the most insane prices on the earth. My husband and I felt frustrated and we went and sat in the mini van. Next they took us to an overpriced jewelry store. We did not sign up for this tour to go shopping - we live in Dubai, so shopping is not an experience we seek out when we travel. So again we were put off by this. I walked out of the store when I looked at the price of a turquoise bracelet they were selling. Small little bits of turquoise and it was like 2,500 USD. I am originally from the Southwest of the states - I know the price of turquoise. Half my jewelry is Zuni - do not play me for a fool when it comes to turquoise. I was so abhorred that again we went and sat in the car. Then some of the people on the tour asked if the van could swing us by a grocery store to get chips and snacks..... guess where they took us? A tourist store that was selling Turkish delights etc. My husband and I at this point asked to be taken home early, which they did while the other people shopped. I appreciate that Turkish delight and dried fruits are a specialty in Turkey, but most people will do this in Istanbul already, which is what we had done. I also want to add that one of our tour guides for the days was very good, and the other one was a bit ambivalent. Anyway it was a bit of a let down to have spent half the day at shops that we didn't really need or want to go to. We would have been happier if we had been given an option about that, or if we could have seen more nature. We travel a lot, maybe 5 times a year, and I would say this was one of the more touristy trappy things we have ever done. I did appreciate the convenience of it for sure, but I would have definitely preferred to have been given an option about what to do with an entire half of a day because shopping for the most over-priced turquoise jewelry and leather goods on the planet was not it.
