- Historic Falmouth Cruise Port - Your night tour will begin from the gate of the Hotel in which you vacates at 5:30pm or 6pm, on our journey down you will past by the well known attraction Green Grotto Cave in Discovery Bay, continuing you will past by the Bauxite Aluminium mining company (Naranda) which is also in discovery bay then we will pass by the Columbus park heading onto the queens high now in the parish of Trelawney, this is a well known parish where the Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt is from (the fastest man on earth).Falmouth is the capital of Trelawney and this is where the luminous lagoon is located. The lagoon, embraced by mangrove trees, houses tiny life forms that radiate a glowing effect when the water is stirred. Schedule your journey for twilight and embark on a boat cruise into the lagoon. As the water gets perturbed, a supernatural light casts an illumination over the underwater bodies. Cause the water to twinkle in the darkness by waving your hands or sweeping a twig across the surface. Those adventurous enough are welcome to dive into the shining waters. The lagoon’s depth reaches about 4-5 feet at its core. Departure is at the Glistening Waters Marina, which also has a dining facility and nightclub. Patrons can relish a meal at the Glistening Waters restaurant, all the while viewing the aquamarine light spectacle.

Highly Recommend!!! - Our driver, Winston, was AMAZING! He was knowledgeable, friendly and led us through the experience, making sure we got on the first boat. The Lagoon itself is STUNNING! The pictures don’t do justice to how much the water actually glows! A once in a lifetime experience for sure! Ask for Winston as your driver! You won’t regret it.

Enjoyable evening - Very fun trip and our driver to get out there was very nice and communicative. Be prepared for a bit of a drive, an hour plus, if you’re leaving from Ocho Rios. The restaurant you wait out before you go out also has some good food and drinks. Kinda hard to see the glowing with the naked eye but the operators of the tour have a special camera that gets some good picture.

Amazing experience in Jamaica! - This was an amazing experience. This bio-phenomena only occurs in four other places in the world. Apparently, at this location in Jamaica, the luminescence is the brightest. Our guide, Winston, was amazing! I would highly recommend him for this trip or any other tours that he offers. He was very professional, polite, and prompt!

Amazing experience, amazing tour guide! - We had a wonderful evening! Winston picked us up at our resort, no waiting, and escorted us to Glistening Waters/Luminous Lagoon. He was an amazing tour guide and told us interesting facts about Jamaica on our drive. The lagoon was everything we hoped for, and the starry sky was an added bonus. We had some amazing jerk chicken on the way back to our resort. I can’t recommend Winston highly enough. He went out of his way to make the trip special.

Disappointing - The entertainment was okay, the boat ride was fairly pleasant, but what was advertised and what actually happened was night and day. We didn't see anything glowing other than the flash from the "paparazzi" they had. If the tour operator knew the weather would affect the luminous lagoon, they should have said something to the people beforehand. It seems like they waited til near the ride was over and ended to say it was because of the excess rain. I would have been happy to reschedule. So all the money I spent was just for a boat ride.
