• Wadi El-Rayan - A company representative will collect guests from their hotel in Cairo to explore the renowned sites of El Fayoum. The distance from Cairo to Fayoum is approximately 95 km. All visits today will be within Wadi El Rayan, which was designated as a Protected Area in 1989.
• Valley of the Whales (Wadi Al-Hitan) - The tour begins at the Wadi Hitan Protected Area (Valley of the Whales), located about 90 km from Fayoum. Wadi Hitan, or Valley of the Whales, is situated within the Protected Area of Wadi El Rayan and was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site due to the discovery of 40 million-year-old whale skeletons.
• Wadi El Rayan - En route to the Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls, visitors will stop at Mudawara Mountain. The journey continues to the Wadi Al Rayan Waterfalls. Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression in the western desert, situated 42m below sea level. It comprises two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, created in 1970 by the overflow of drainage water from Fayoum’s farmlands. Following this, guests can enjoy Medinet Madi (Ancient City Uncovered), dating back to the third pharaonic dynasty, built by Amenemhet III and completed by Amenemhet IV. A late lunch will be served at a high-quality restaurant, followed by a transfer back to Cairo.
