Everest base camp - Loved my trip. Madan was our guide and he was very helpful and guided us throughout the journey. He was super helpful to the few of us who got sick as well and made arrangements that we were taken care of. I definitely recommend madan as the guide and ace the himalaya as the company to travel with.

An experience of a lifetime that will change you. - An amazing experience that you will feel incredibly accomplished by achieving.
The Trek is not for the faint hearted and physically is very strenuous so I recommend you do a lot of training to prepare.
Our guide was Milan and he was phenomenal at keeping us informed and making sure we had pre ordered our meals. Despite the repeat questions, he always answered with passion and enthusiasm, he is certainly in the right role and if you’re lucky 🍀 enough to get Milan as your guide you will have a fantastic trek. Just make sure you’re prepared to put sunscreen on in the dark 😆
Highly recommend buying your clothes in Thamel, Kathmandu. Prices are much better than Western and although most are copies, the quality is very good.
You will have a total 15kg weight limit for your day pack and duffel bag on the plane or helicopter so I suggest that you don’t buy / take too much. I definitely bought too much and left half of it in Kathmandu.
The company, Ace the Himalayas is well organised and professional. They have excellent processes and communication, albeit not the cheapest company you can choose they are from what I could see the most popular company on the mountain. Almost every other group we saw was with Ace the Himalayas.

The Adventure of a Lifetime - Long overdue but finally getting around to posting this.
First, a shoutout to Sujan at the Ace office, who dealt with my never-ending list of questions for a whole year from the moment I started planning this until like a week before I actually arrived in Kathmandu. From the very beginning, he was super nice and courteous and always answered my questions and clearly and in a timely manner. I cannot thank him enough for all of his help. He was an invaluable resource for me during the planning stages of my trip and the level of service I received from him just helped reassure that I had picked the right company to book this with.
Second, I want to thank my Porter, Peshal. Our group had a setback a couple of days into the trek and I had to continue alone with him while my guide stayed behind and sorted things out and he was just the sweetest person ever, always looking out for me and making sure I was ok. I am glad I got to spend time with him and got to know him a little bit. The job of a porter is crucial in the mountains and I am so grateful to have had him in my group.
Third, I want to thank my amazing guide, Rajendra Neupane. From the moment I got picked up at the airport, he was super friendly and helpful with any questions I had, from recommending places to eat or visit, to helping me get a local simcard and going to exchange money. He said at one point during the trip (and I agreed) that even though we had all just met, it felt like we had known each other forever, which made the trek feel like I was up there with friends rather than strangers. After the setback in Namche (the other person in my group had to be evacuated due to illness), I continued on the trek alone with him and he made it a point to check on me and make sure I was ok the entire way. He kept me motivated, even on the very few instances I doubted that I could make it all the way, he made sure to always stay positive and kept reminding me that the challenge was as much mental as it was physical. I definitely owe a lot of the success to him.
I did a lot of research and chose Ace the Himalaya based on the amount of information they had available and also all of the excellent reviews they have. After my experience with them I am happy to join in on all of the great things people have to say about them. If I ever return to the Everest Region, I will 100% be going through them to make any arrangements. I cannot recommend them enough!
Thank you, again, for everything!

EBC with Heli return to Lukla - great trip - Excellent trip. Well organised and wonderful guide, Nimesh.
Being a bit short on time, the return via heli is a good option.

Awesome adventure climbing Everest Base Camp thanks to Ace the Himalayas and Raj Kumar as our guide - I cannot say enough good about using the company Ace the Himalayas to climb to Everest Base Camp on Mount Everest. We recently arrived in Katmandu on April 27th, and Ace the Himalayas picked us up at the airport and took us to our hotel. Ace then saw to our every need from that point on until we successfully climbed to Everest Base Camp and returned to Katmandu to fly home. Ace did a wonderful job at every step of our trip. We really have to pay great kudos to our guide Raj Kumar. Raj flew with us to Lukla and helped us overcome the near terror one experiences on a flight to Lukla. Let's just say the flight will definitely live up to its reputation for being a great start to your adventure. Raj was just simply the best guy ever. He starts out every morning with an infectious smile and truly makes you feel like you're definitely going to make it to Everest base camp the whole way. He has a real sense for when you need a pep talk and is a highly personable guy. You will feel like Raj Kumar has genuinely become your friend by the end of the trip. I definitely would recommend using Ace the Himalayas to climb to Everest Base Camp, and you should absolutely request Raj Kumar to be your guide if you want to ensure your successful climb.

EBC with Heli Return (Guide: Raj Kumar) - Choosing to do my EBC trek with Ace is the best decision: they were very organised, had a good support team, were really flexible to our needs & arranged the best guide & porters for us.
Raj Kumar was my guide and together his lead porter Kaji they took great care of us during the entire trek. They always made sure we were well taken care of during meal times, looked out for our safety during the trek & Raj was always ever patient to clearly update us of what to expect the next day. I wouldn’t have been able to complete this trip without the amazing support from Raj, Kaji & their team of porters. I look forward to more tours with Ace & having Raj as my guide in the future.

Great company, great guide - Trek was tough but completely worth it. We had a good guide from Ace Himalaya - raj kumar and assistant guide - kaji.
They were organised and made sure we knew what to expect each day. Also patient in answering all our questions and always encouraging us to be positive.
When we had request to change our itinerary. Raj helped to coordinate with the back office promptly to get the necessary booking done.
Overall a great experience with Ace, Raj K and Kaji. Would definitely go back to them if we do another trip to Nepal in the future!

Terrible experience on a solo luxury EBC trip - I paid for the luxury Everest Base camp trip with helicopter return to Lukla and it was a really terrible experience. I was a solo traveler, not by choice, just the way the schedule worked out. The trip started off on the wrong foot when I arrived at about 1 am and was dropped off at the wrong hotel, quite far from where I was supposed to be. Once we got on the trail, the guide never spoke to me. He was always about 50-100 paces ahead of me, sometimes watching stuff on his phone, I could hear laughter like it was a sitcom. I learned nothing about the area we were traveling through, nothing about the culture or people, nothing. He would leave me to hike on my own sometimes while he stayed and talked to people in the villages. I had to ask for directions from a stranger once. He left me while in Namche once, even though I told him I wasn’t sure how to get back to the hotel. So he found some random young man to take me back. He never took my blood oxygen levels until I finally said something when we were in Dingboche. I got sick with a fever in Dingboche and he refused to listen, saying I need to think positive. When I asked if he had a thermometer he said it was broken, so I asked if he could get one from the other Ace guide. I could go on and on, but I think that’s enough to prove my point.
I paid extra for the luxury tour, thinking the guide would be excellent, but that was not the case. There was another group traveling with Ace I would run into daily and they had an awesome guide that helped to make their trip special. They saw how I was being treated and asked me to join them, but they were much younger and I knew I couldn’t keep up. Spending time with that group and their guide was the best part of the trip.
Ace did arrange to bring a cake to EBC for my 60th birthday, which was a really nice surprise. And the guide did offer to take my picture occasionally and he carried my daypack twice, which was nice. Expect for that, I can’t find much good to say.
I paid a lot for the trip and got the bare minimum. Deepak is the worst guide in my opinion. I’m adding photos, look for the orange backpack, that’s my guide.
