Day trip from Cambridge - If you go to Saffron Walden from Cambridge, it's likely to see St Mary's, the lovely, huge Perpendicular wool parish church included in Simon Jenkins' "England's Thousand Best Churches." Saffron Walden is also an ancient market town, full of wonky old buildings, where saffron was grown to dye wool yellow during the later Middle Ages. Rachel, the tour leader, is knowledgeable about the commercial history of the town and the old shops and markets, some with pargeting. The result is that you get a very good walking tour of the center of the town with a nice lunch along the way. Of the food establishments visited, the chocolatier, Hill St., is outstanding.

Sunny Saffron Walden Food Tour - Rachel was the perfect guide providing a highly informative and enthusiastic walk and munch around seven different establishments around Saffron Walden. With tons of great information about the food and social history of the town and a very warm welcome with delicious food and drink from passionate local independent businesses, it felt like a very special experience. Would highly recommend a food tour with Rachel!

Hello Food tour of Bishops Stortford - Just been on a Hello Food Tours tour of Bishops Stortford - a 3 hour amble around the town, learning about its history and culinary heritage from the past and now. Explored (and tasted) a wide variety of foods from various cultures, while meeting and hearing the stories of the independent owners who have the passion for their food business. A very nice long lunch, and recommended.

Fantastic experience - The tour was a gift and totally surpassed our expectations (which were already high!). Rachel was a mine of information and as well as introducing us to some delicious local food, she had some really interesting information about the town. It was my husbands birthday the day we did the tour, and all the places we stopped wished him a happy birthday.......he was thrilled! We would recommend the experience unreservedly!

Excellent food tour of Bishops Stortford - Had a fabulous tour with Hello food tours in Bishops Stortford. Rachel was a great guide. The restaurants and cafes we visited were friendly and welcoming and keen to talk us through what food we were going to taste. All were delicious and we had plenty of variety. I would recommend this is as a gift for friends and family or for a good day out to treat yourself!

Bishops Stortford food tour - excellent - My lovely friends bought me this amazing tour for my birthday. Right from the start Rachel was very informative and friendly. The food stops were all independent and very individual. Loads of delicious food ( especially the burger at East 17) really enjoyed it Thoroughly recommend this tour , want to try the Saffron Waldron one now !! Won’t be eating again for at least 24 hours 😊
