We kick off our journey from Marrakech to Essaouira at 8 am, embarking on a day-long expedition to the renowned medieval city of Essaouira, a UNESCO world heritage site celebrated for its annual Gnaoua music festival. Multiple attractions await your discovery in Essaouira on this day trip from Marrakech such as the beach, the harbor, the ramparts, the Jewish district, La Skala, Moulay El Hassan square, and the port. Everything perfect - All very well. It's worth it. 100% recommended. The trip d sweats a bit long because of the stops where you are taught the argan oil but it is typical.

Felt really safe as a solo traveller - Lovely journey from Marrakech, made various well thought through stops along the way and took amazing pics. Pick was on time and from hotel. I booked last minute and was totally worth it!

Essaouira is a must see attraction but not with this driver - I cannot stress enough how beautiful Essaouira is and it is worth a visit. However, we definitely do not recommend the driver (Yassine) we were assigned for a trip on 8/07/2024. The process started well as we received a message on WhatsApp the time and the place for pickup. The mini van that arrived was unmarked and no sign on the windscreen to indicate the excursion company name. We managed to ensure that this was the minibus we were going to travel with. The driver never introduced himself to us. The first time we heard his name was at the end of the trip to ensure we would give him good reviews. At one of the collection point, we witnessed the most unusual situation. Instead of getting off the van, crossing the street and greeting the customers, he thought more appropriate just to whistle at them (a little bit like cattle) and wave at them to get them to cross the street and get in the minibus. Quite shocking. Just on the outskirts of Marrakech, first stop for a coffee and vaping with a couple of customers. The driver showed again the worse kind of attitude when he decided to play music to all the passengers so that he could have his side conversations with a couple of vaping buddies at the front of the minivan. Being left out and segregated did not go unnoticed by the rest of the passengers and made us feel like we were a burden.
It took us 3 hours 30 minutes to get to Essaouira. We spent 4 hours there. The return trip took also 3 hours 30 minutes CT. The only reason for getting to know his name at the end of the trip was to ensure we would give him a good review. There seems to be a competition between drivers so that the one with the most reviews can drive more customers and get better pay. An absolute disgrace.
