Middle Atlas - The journey begins with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Fes. The first stop is Ifran, a charming mountain village often referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco.” Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. A stop will be made at Azrou, a Berber village nestled in Morocco’s largest cedar forest.
Errachidia - After exploring the forest, the journey continues to Midelt, where you can admire the breathtaking views of the Atlas hills and mountains. Traveling through the Tizi N’talghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, you’ll witness the High Atlas plateau and the landscape gradually transitioning to desert as you approach Errachidia. Lunch will be enjoyed here, accompanied by the warm hospitality of the Berber people.
Merzouga - Post-lunch, the journey proceeds through the Ziz Valley, with stops for panoramic views, until reaching Erfoud and Rissani. The final destination is Merzouga, where a refreshing glass of mint tea awaits. You’ll then embark on a camel ride, guided by an experienced camel handler, to explore the golden sand dunes of Merzouga. Dinner will be served in front of your tent, where you’ll spend the night.

Rissani - In the desert, waking up early is essential to witness the stunning sunrise from a high dune near the camp. This breathtaking view is a natural wonder not to be missed. After the sunrise, return to Merzouga on camels for a delightful breakfast. Following breakfast, depart the desert and head to Rissani to explore the marketplace. If it’s a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, you’ll experience the vibrant market.
Erfoud - Next, visit Erfoud to explore the fossilized marble manufacturers before continuing to the Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves. An hour later, arrive at the Todra Gorges, one of the High Atlas’s most beautiful spots. This cliff-sided canyon is popular among climbers for its beauty and towering rock faces. Enjoy free time for lunch and a short walk through the gorges to fully appreciate the stunning landscape.
Dades Gorges - In the afternoon, continue to the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of Figs, passing through Boumalne Dades. Stop at the “monkey legs” before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay at the Dades Gorges.
Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas – Marrakech
Ouarzazate - After breakfast, head to a strategic lookout point in the mountains for one of the best views of the Dades Valley. From here, admire the numerous kasbahs and their unique scenic features. Continue the journey along a road lined with various kasbahs of tourist interest. After several stops to enjoy the “One Thousand Kasbahs Road,” the Roses Valley, and the expansive Skoura palm grove, arrive in Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the former residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. If interested, visit the cinema studios and museum.
Ait Ben Haddou - Half an hour from Ouarzazate, stop at the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou to visit the famous Kasbah. This site was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986, and many renowned films have been shot here, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penélope Cruz. Enjoy free time for lunch in town.
Marrakech - In the afternoon, travel to Marrakech, passing through the Tizi Ntichka mountain pass with stops for photos. Leave behind the lunar-like landscape and enter a vibrant, colorful view. Arrive in Marrakech around 6 pm, transfer to the hotel, and conclude the services.
