Sandwich Harbour - Our journey takes us through Walvis Bay, lagune wetlands where thousands of pink Flamingos can be seen, past the enormous Salt Mine harvesting 100000 tons per month, south along the beach to Sandwich Harbor where the Dune belt meets the sea . See the waves carve away the dunes at high tide where it sometimes becomes impossible to enter this beautiful and remote area. We go on a roller coaster dune ride up to the view point with absolute surprise to see the stunning views and the quiet desert ambiance. The huge sea of sand , the dunes, have that special kind of magic …absolutely unique. Our knowledgeable guides will tell you about the desert area and skillfully drive you to the best spots. Adrenaline soaked dune drives , searching for animals in this desolate area , learn how the plants and animals have evolved to live in the desert.

Definitely Ask 4 Uwe - Very pretty scenery and a must see to every traveler. Best guide to have on a trip like this, just enough info to keep you interested.

Amazing day out with Dennis! - We had a lot of fun with Dennis (our guide), he’s very nice and always willing to answer any question you have no matter how silly it is. We also got food midway through the drive and it was very nice. Overall, we saw a lot of dunes, got to play around in them, and had a great experience because of the kindness of our guide.

Sandwich Harbour Tour - phenomenal! - Incredible tour with Wo ton, an expert guide. Small group of four - all of us solo - and he was great at answering our questions and explaining the incredible or scenery. A 10 out of 10!!’

Just do it! It was incredible! - My sister and I had no idea what to expect. And we were extremely suprised! We had an incredible day driving through the dune and getting to see all the viewpoints. Hannes, our driver was super knowledgeable and friendly. We had the best day. We would highly recommend.

Holy smokes, just WOW! Fantastic tour of Sandwich Harbour. - Wow we had an experience we will always remember! Hannes, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable on the local area, the flora, the fauna and the history. He made the tour enjoyable and you felt looked after. We had a blast riding up and down the dunes, and stopping the car to take in breath taking scenery of dunes as far as the eye can see. We had adequate stops as well as lovely snacks and drinks. Don’t pass up sandwich harbour and make sure you book with these guys

We enjoyed our tour through sandwich harbor. Amazing views... Dune riding, Springboks...can never forget

Thrilling - Well this experience exceeded all expectations. We had a gem of a guide in Dennis. What a character kept us on the edge of our seat with his knowledge and charisma. We then teamed up with Gerhard who combined to enhance the experience with thrilling (on the edge of your seat stuff) driving between sea and dunes that then culminated in exciting high dune driving. The views were magnificent and we were treated to Seals Gemsbok Springbok Flamigoes White Pelicans Tok Tokkies dune lizard and pink salt. Highly recommended!

Exhilarating! - Dennis took us out and we had an exhilarating experience! From the drive along the ocean to the drive on the dunes and the lunch. Dennis was very knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. We followed Gerhard and his group. Gerhard made a great judgement call on the safety of our drive and ensured an adrenaline rush for the whole family. I highly recommend desertdunesdust-tours.com for the sandwich harbor drive. 10/10

Do it! - Phenomenal, fun and nothing quite like we have exprienced before! Gerhard was such a great guide, and we had a lovely group of international guests as well whom we travelled with. The scenery, and exciting 4x4ing on the dunes was our favourite. Thank-you!
