Highly recommend. - An amazing experience for both of us. Knowledgeable and passionate staff. Accommodation was first class. The whole experience is a credit to the management and staff of this Natural History Museum. We highly recommend this outback attraction to all those passing by during their outback travels.

A must visit dinosaur museum. - The ENHM is a first class dinosaur museum as part of the world class Queensland outback dinosaur experience. Knowledgeable and experienced staff made the visit all the more memorable and the Grand Tour included a dinosaur dig and bone preparation laboratory. An absolute must.

Great story and informative experience - We thoroughly enjoyed our Dinosaur experience tour in this very impressive facility. The quality production of the informative pre-tour movie, followed by the knowledge and enthusiasm our guide Hollie imparted during our tour of the workshop area was fantastic. We left informed and impressed of the dedication of staff and volunteers. We would thoroughly recommend this tour.
Coffee/cake cafe and gift shop also onsite.

Eromanga's treasure trove of fossils and learning - ENHM is a wonderful place, a treasure for anyone keen on fossils (from the huge to the microscopic), dinosaurs, megafauna, good coffee, opals or learning about the process of how fossils get from the paddock to the museum display.
I thought I'd be bored out of my brain after 3 days. Over two visits, we completed 10 days of paid tuition and mentoring in fossil preparation, and now we have just finished 3 weeks of volunteering as novice preparators. So much to learn. From finely chiselling off mudstone from the fossilised bones of massive titanosaurs, to scraping back clay from 100,000 year old diprotodons and sieving said clay for microfossils which are found at the bottom of a microscope - it's a many facetted treasure hunt. A welcoming, nurturing staff and many happy fellow dinosaur-nerds helped make it a great experience. We'll be back next year.
There is a range of accommodation options. The nearest grocery store is in Quilpie, 100km east. There is fuel available and a pub and cafe in town as well as the cafe at ENHM.

A first-class tour at a first-class venue. - This was a fantastically good experience. in Quilpie we made a 100km detour in the opposite direction to where we were actually heading, and it was 100% worth it. The tour, information and displays were first class, and the actual building was architecturally stunning. I appreciate this because of my architectural background. We will definitely come again.

An amazing facility literally in the middle of nowhere! - Eromanga, the town furthest from the sea, is home to the Eromanga Natural Museum. While only a new addition to this tiny town it is a world class research facility dedicated to dinosaurs who roamed the area eons ago. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. The café and shop and reception area were welcoming and the range of items in the shop ranging from toy dinosaurs for little ones to opals for keepsakes and a good range of books. The biggest problem, surprising at a new facility, was the car parking especially for disabled. There wasn't any designated and certainly not close to the entrance. My husband has severe asthma and experienced distress returning to our car.

Fabulous! - We were the only ones on the tour which made it very special. We had Denise and her enthusiasm & expertise all to ourselves and were duly impressed with the work that is going on behind the scenes and the balance in the tour of film and actual examples. We got to chat with 2 volunteers at work scraping away. Not sure there's enough here for kids but nevertheless a special place. (You can take the kids to explore the great sculptures in Eromanga). Most of us have seen dinosaur skeletons in the museums of large cities but to visit a place devoted to them is awesome & all of the members of staff we connected with were super friendly and warm. We also stayed at Coopers Lodge accommodation and have written a review. We had done a lot of driving and felt that a stay here, although expensive would break our journey.
