A responsive and excellent tour provider - we lucked out with an exceptional guide - We picked Nkuringo based on TA reviews, and we were not disappointed. Communication in advance of our trip was very good, detailed and responsive. We started with a "standard" itinerary and then customized it a bit by adding 2 more days to their standard 8-day itinerary...easy to do. Nkuringo also provided excellent travel advice in terms of packing, what to bring, vaccinations, making sure we had all documents in order, etc.
But what really made the trip a remarkable and memorable one for us was our driver/guide. Jack met us at EBB airport and was with us at every step along the way. We cannot say enough great things about him. Before becoming a guide he'd spent 8 years as a Ugandan Park Ranger, rotating through several of the Ugandan National Parks. As such he was always treated like royalty and as a returning comrade by other Park Rangers every time we went to visit any of the National Parks. We gained as much from our daily interactions with Jack as we did from our time wandering through the various parks in search of Gorillas, chimps and all manner of other amazing fauna. Advice to anyone considering booking with Nkuringo: Request Jack as soon as you possibly can.

This tour was absolutely amazing! - This tour was absolutely amazing! I am a senior lady and was traveling solo. Papa Patrick took care of me like I was a VIP. He made sure that I was safe and had the best of everything. He went above and beyond by getting up early in order to do and see all the things that I wanted to experience. Pappa is now like family.

Unforgettable mountain gorillas - Our guide and driver Yiga Patrick was really very attentive to our comfort and safety. He passed on to us the love of his country throughout our journey. Then our encounter with mountain gorillas was the highlight of our trip.

Thanks, Nkuringo, for arranging our great Uganda safari - Actually our trip was 15 days starting with 3 nights in Entebbe, then flying to Kidepo Valley NP for 3 nights at Apoka Safari Lodge, then to Murchison Falls for 3 nights at Nile Safari Lodge, on to Kibale for 3 nights at Primate Lodge and lastly to Bwinid Impenetrable Forest for 3 nights at Nkuringo Lodge. Our trip was arranged by Africa Odyssey and and by its local affiliate, Nkuringo Safaris. All arrangements were great and Nkuringo did a good job changing our flights back to Entebbe in time for our connecting flights to Doha after the Kisoro airstrip was closed. Patrick from Nkuringo was our driver, guide, trip coordinator for the entire trip and he took care of everything. When we flew from location to location, he drove and was always there to meet us. We experienced several drives on bumpy, rutted roads which provided an African massage and Patrick navigated them as well as possible. We enjoyed our 2 weeks with Patrick and we’re lucky to have him.

Just the most incredible experience - I had the most amazing and unique time on my visit to Rwanda and Uganda. Nkuringo Safaris were great, Diana was so helpful from the day I first emailed them to the day I left the country! My driver/guide Patrick made me feel safe and supported, and was very informative about all the different situations we found ourselves in. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent guide and experience - On the positive side, my guide, Milton, was exceptional. The car was new and nice, most hotels were good and Dianah, who organized the trip was very responsive. Overall an excellent trip, but I was not impressed with their lodge in Entebbe (Papyrus) and expected more from the Nakuringo Bwindi lodge.

Nkuringo Uganda - We had a great time travelling Uganda in January with Nkuringo and our guide Patrick Yiga which we booked via Rainbow tours.
The entire trip was very well planned out with adequate time to enjoy both the scenery and the spectacular wildlife.
Highlights of our trip included Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and our stay at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla lodge. The experience was amazing, though the trek was tough. The staff at the Gorilla lodge were very attentive, even helping to dry our boots after some torrential rain while trekking and providing us with a warm fire and hot water bottles!
We saw a great range of animals while going on safari drives across Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Falls including Elephants, Buffalo, Giraffes, Monkeys, Lions and Leopards. Patrick was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, spotting a lot of animals and taking us out early several times to get the best chances of seeing the big cats! He also dealt with the bumpy roads and inevitable car issues with ease!
Boat trips on the Kazinga channel and the Nile gave us close views of Hippos, elephants and crocodiles. We saw great views of the falls on the Nile. The final day boat trip in the Mbamba wetlands also showed us a huge range of birds!
The Rhino santuary at Ziwa sanctuary also allowed us to see Rhinos at close range which was an incredible experience.
Overall the trip was excellently organised with no worries about food or drink. The touring experiences were all fantastic and in Patrick we had a great guide. Definitely a trip I would recommend for others. We had a great time travelling Uganda with Nkuringo and our guide Patrick Yoga!
Highlights included tortilla trekking in Bwindi.

Incredible Honeymoon organised through a fantastic local Ugandan company - We actually did a tailored 12.5 day safari, hiking & primate tour of Uganda with a guide and we had the most incredible time. Nkuringo were by far the best company we talked with when planning our honeymoon. Incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, fast to respond and we felt from day one that they would plan and organise us a special trip.
Planning such an ambitious (& expensive) trip to a country which, on the face of it, may not be the most obvious destination for a honeymoon was initially daunting but Nkuringo (particularly Catherine) took all the stress out of it.
From the moment we started talking with Nkuringo to the moment we left Uganda everything ran incredibly smoothly. We didnt have to think about anything when we arrived other than to just enjoy every moment. Our guide (David) was simply amazing. Professional, incredibly friendly, endlessly knowledgeable about everything in Uganda, birds, wildlife, history, culture etc - he was fantastic. The lodges were great, the people so smiley and welcoming and the country as a whole was awesome. Highly recommend Uganda and very highly recommend Nkuringo.
Final thing to mention was that the trip was not cheap, but that did not mean that is felt expensive. We felt that the trip was actually very good value for money. Non-stop once in a life time experiences delivered to the highest standards. Worth every penny for sure!

Best experience I ever had - Our trip was actually organised by Wild Frontier Safaris and we spent 3 days at Buhoma Lodge and walked into see the H group on the second day. It took me one and half hours but some of the walking was not difficult. When I arrived it was just so wonderful I was almost in tears, it was one of the most amazing hours of my life, 14 gorillas who just went on with their lives and occasionally came right up to us. Two hours of a steep climb to get out,
