Fascinating and Delicious Food Tour in Shrewsbury - We had a fantastic afternoon in Shrewsbury guided by Heather who was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. She gave us fascinating insights into some of the town's history and took us to some wonderful independent food and drink establishments. Wonderful for the mind and the taste buds. Thoroughly recommended!

Fabulous Afternoon in Shrewsbury with Heather - We had a fabulous afternoon with Heather walking around Shrewsbury hearing about its history and visiting great locations. During the tour we visited five lovely venues run by locals, tasting fantastic food and great drinks. I highly recommend this tour for anyone.

Walking Food tour - Shrewsbury. - This was my 2 tour with Walking Food Tours (the 1st being in Chester) & it was wonderful. Gareth & Heather were so welcoming & friendly, really knowledgeable about the area & chose the perfect venues to take us to. I would 100% recommend 👌 & can't wait to book again!!!

What a fabulous afternoon! - As it was my cousin's 60th Birthday in May, my sister and I thought this would be a great way to celebrate and we were right! We had a really fabulous afternoon in Shrewsbury, eating and drinking at various independent eateries around town, all of whom were so very passionate about their businesses and food they served. We had delicious food and equally delicious drinks along the way. Gareth and Heather were just lovely, great company and very knowledgeable about the town, pointing out little details we would have missed without them. We would definitely recommend the tour and we are already planning our next one. Thanks Gareth and Heather we had a great time.

They inform me they had a very enjoyable afternoon - I purchases the tour for my two daughters and their husband for Xmas present. I found the courier helpful throughout the process of booking and my family enjoyed the tour very much and have already returned to one of the restaurants visited.

Best introduction to Shrewsbury! - This was our first time doing a walking food tour and I'm glad to say that Gareth did not disappoint. This walking tour was the first thing we did on arriving in Shrewsbury and it was the perfect way to get orientated to the area and receive suggestions on other restaurants and venues to explore over the weekend. The tour was very well curated and organised. 4 hours flew by so quickly and we left with a full belly. It was great to visit and support so many local businesses and learn about how they source quality ingredients with sustainability. There was great mix of sweet, savoury and drinks. Over the weekend we ended up going to two more restaurants that were informally recommended during the tour and it was well worth it. Dietary restrictions if any are taken into account for prior to the tour. Highly recommend! Keep up the great work Gareth!

Enjoyable and memorable afternoon spent in wonderful Shrewsbury. - Gareth proved to be a most welcoming and personable guide. The afternoon consisted of visits to a number of diverse retail locations serving a range good quality food and drink while the opportunity to speak at length to nearly all of the owners/managers made the tour all the more interesting. In addition, as we walked between venues, Gareth’s knowledgeable input gave us a good grasp of its history and orientation. Shrewsbury is an absolute gem of a place! We really enjoyed the afternoon and highly recommend the tour. (We plan to enjoy a similar experience with Gareth in one of the other cities that he covers).

Perfect food, beautiful town, expert guide - I have done the Chester and Liverpool Food Tours, both were fabulous, so I had high expectations of the Shrewsbury Tour, especially since I didn’t know Shrewsbury at all. These high expectations were exceeded! From start to finish, Gareth led us expertly though the beautiful town, pointing out fascinating Architecture and tiny alleyways, with interesting and relevant snippets of history between the expertly-chosen food stops. I won’t comment on every one, just to say the food in all was delicious, with informative talks by the proprietors. It’s hard to choose a favourite, but Tanners Wine Merchants possibly wins because of the highly expert talk, the amazing building and the wine tasting in a lovely courtyard afterwards. But learning about Ice Cream making, and actually making a waffle cone, in Gelatistry was superb too… and Pierogi in The Shed… and…. all of them!! I loved the whole day, thank you Gareth!
