Very informative, fun tour in sheltered waters. The four hours passed so quickly! - Jack was an excellent host with an extensive knowledge of the history of Albany and the Kalgan River. Great experience right from the start, when he was interacting with pelicans as he was readying the boat for boarding. He managed to keep up the running commentary as well as answering the numerous questions from the guests. Jack touched on an eclectic range of topics and kept us all entertained with little known fauna and birdlife facts. More than a touch of humour thrown in too. Really enjoyed the oyster tasting (although more than one would have been good!) His mums homemade damper, piping hot was appreciated and very good with a cup of coffee. I had to buy a jar of his family’s bottled honey and a jar of beeswax lip balm after sampling both. All up, an extremely enjoyable half day trip and I will definitely book again next time I’m in Albany.

Captain Jack and his "crew" of pelicans create an unforgettable experience! - Captain Jack was the perfect host, guide, Captain and crew for this fabulous 4 hour tour. The your started right on time with a magnificent send off by numerous pelicans and some marine life. Over an informative and enjoyable 4 hour cruise we enjoyed assorted local foods and a cup of tea or coffee as Captain Jack educated is about local life and history. His poetry was the icing on this wonderful cake!

A Few Hours on the Water - Lots of birds, beautiful views, friendly people! I had a lovely peaceful day on Oyster Bay and the Kalgan River, entertained by the pelicans and the guide Jack. Commentary made the trip for me. Jack was very informative, his knowledge of birds and local history, plenty of humour and a couple of poems was great! The tea and damper was good too.

A great morning on the water. - A really great morning out. Captain Jack is great fun, the local birdlife was amazing and it was great value for money. Everyone on board really enjoyed it and I would recommend the trip for anyone, especially bird lovers.

Kalgan River Albany cruise - An excellent afternoon aboard the Kalgan Queen travelling on the beautiful Kalgan River. Captain Jack provided excellent commentary. He was an excellent host. I definitely recommend this experience.

Interesting and entertaining - A great cruise. Very interesting and entertaining along with great tea and damper. No shortage of seeing sea eagles and osprey feeding. Perch the pelican is quite a show girl along with her dancing friend. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day - listening to a wide range of historical stories, local facts and laughter!! Highly recommended!

Fun and informative river cruise - We had a wonderful time on the Kalgan Queen boat trip. Captain Jack was great fun and shared much information about wildlife and the local history. We would definitely recommend it.
