Maison Troglodyte - ✨ Discover a traditional Berber Troglodyte House (carved inside a rock, cave-like) in Matmata.

Enjoy Berber tea, sample local bread, and taste olive oil and honey made by locals. The underground house, once used for hiding from enemies, is still inhabited today. Leave a voluntary tip as a gesture of appreciation for their hospitality.

Hotel Sidi Idriss - ✨ Visit the iconic Star Wars filming location in Matmata. Step into the surreal landscape that served as the backdrop for Luke Skywalker’s home. Experience the magic of standing where legendary scenes were filmed and immerse yourself in the cinematic history of the galaxy far, far away.

NOTE: The first part of Star Wars was filmed here. A second part was filmed in Ong Jmal (not included in our itinerary as it’s deep in the Sahara).

After the adventure, we’ll head back to the main road.
