Great Tour, Good guide and Driver. - Driver was a very amazing guide and driver. Hsin showed all places, provided information, cared for us throughout the trip. Hsin made us feel safe at locations, while driving. He was sharing information about Tuinisa, going out of his way to help. He also took some amazing photos of us throughout the trip — memories we’ll treasure.

The most spectacular way to explore Tunisia with incredible guides - Ask for Hsin! - TL;DR: Amazing guide and driver Hsin gave us the absolute pinnacle of our trip to Tunisia, showing us a huge variety of the beautiful places Tunisia has to offer. *** This two-day excursion really packs it in — and it stands out for its perfect balance of comfort, adventure, local culture, and safety. Here’s a breakdown: Day 1: • El Jem Colosseum – A Roman gem and a great first stop. • Matmata – Welcome sign photo op, troglodyte house (we skipped Hotel Sidi Idriss). • Douz – Optional Sahara fun: quad bikes and horse rides (extra cost). • Sabria – Overnight glamping in the desert. Evening entertainment included fire shows, Berber music, dancing, traditional food, and a horse performance. (Note: accommodation not included in trip price.) Day 2: • Hot springs near Bechri – Great morning stop. • Chott el Djerid – Stunning salt flats. • Tozeur Jeep to Star Wars film site – We didn’t do it (costs a LOT extra and we didn’t think it was worth it). • Chebika Oasis + canyon – Epic scenery, a bit of hiking. • Tamaghza Viewpoint – Beautiful stop. • Tamerza Oasis + canyon – More amazing nature. • Sidi Bouzi – Quick, tasty food stop. • Great Mosque of Kairouan – A gorgeous and peaceful end to the trip. Things to Note: • Lots of extra costs! For the two of us: • Sabria: 360TD for the tent, 80TD for camel ride, and 160TD to upgrade to glamping (worth it — ensuite, amazing view right onto the Sahara). • Douz: 330TD for horse riding and quads. • Jeep tour to Star Wars site: ~500TD (we skipped it — you see everything else by car and we didn’t feel like we missed out). • Food: ~100TD total. Hsin sorted us “Arab prices” — proper local spots and great value. • Entry costs: 25TD for El Jem, ~10TD donation to locals’ for troglodyte house. • In total: 1225TD base price + ~1065TD extras = ~2290TD — nearly double the basic price, but definitely worth it. • The car used was way more comfy and luxurious than anything we saw others using — makes a big difference on long drives! • Hsin found amazing food everywhere — tasty, cheap, and made by locals. • In Sabria, you’ll be offered two basic tents — pick the white one if you’re not upgrading. Nicer than the other. The glamping tent is a great deal if you want a private bathroom and desert view. • Nights in the desert get cold — bring layers if you’re planning to stargaze. • That said, don’t expect crystal-clear skies — wind can kick up sand and reduce visibility. • Flexibility is a big plus — our private guide went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. If you want to skip something or stay longer somewhere, just ask. • Bring decent shoes — there’s optional hiking at Chebika and Tamerza. Finally – Hsin! Our guide Hsin was absolutely incredible. He made sure we were safe, comfortable, happy, and always getting a good deal. He’s charismatic, smart, warm, and full of energy — always smiling, sharing stories, and helping us understand what we were seeing. He also took some amazing photos of us throughout the trip — memories we’ll treasure. Honestly, we feel like we made a friend. If you’re booking this trip, ask for Hsin — you won’t regret it. We’re even booking more excursions with him! Hope this helps fellow travellers! Tunisia blew us away — and this trip was the highlight.

Every good tour depends on the tour guide. - Review for Hsin Benhamra I had the pleasure of touring with Hsin Benhamra while visiting Tunisia, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I've had while travelling. He had communicated with me the day before to give a brief idea of what the day would look like ,and asked if I had a questions, and needs he might plan for .From the moment the tour began, he was punctual, very neat, which stood out for me to begin with, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. His driving was smooth and enjoyable, and he always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. What really stood out was his deep understanding of local history and culture—he shared fascinating stories and insights that brought each destination to life. He was also very approachable and friendly, making everyone feel welcomed and at ease. Whether we had questions, wanted to take photos, or needed recommendations, he was always happy to help. Thank you, Othmen, for making this journey so special! - We did the 2-day journey from Tunis to the Sahara Desert. It was fantastic. From start to finish, our guide, Othmen, made the experience seamless, exciting, and deeply enriching. His knowledge of Tunisia’s history, landscapes, and culture added so much depth to the trip, and his flexibility ensured that we could truly enjoy every moment at our own pace. The highlight, of course, was arriving in the vast Sahara Desert. Camel riding/quad biking were optional add ons and were a great way to spend the evening. There was a full moon so although we were in the emptiness of the desert, the moon illuminated the vast landscapes which were beautiful. We spent the night in a nomadic tent, which was very serene. Day 2 involved exploring multiple oases, salt flats, and the grand mosque of Kairouan. Doing the trip from Tunis is a c.1400km round trip over 2 days so it is long, but it was definitely worth it. Thank you, Othmen, for making this journey so special!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Sahara Tour with Ottoman! - Our two-day Sahara tour with Simba Fun Travels was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by our incredible guide, Ottoman. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. His warmth, kindness, and professionalism made us feel completely at ease. He drove expertly, kept us safe, and ensured we got to experience everything on the itinerary without ever feeling rushed. Fantastic experience in the desert! - We stayed two days in the desert with a night of overnight stay in a tent and various stops along the way. A fantastic experience that we will certainly not forget with an extraordinary guide who has become a friend to us, the great Othmen. He paid attention to every detail and took care of us.
