Magical place - Divine place to visit with the family; incredible landscapes; the route from Bariloche is a bit in bad condition but can be traveled. The landscapes along the route are divine and Bolson in spring seems magical; with its pink trees they are wonderful. The people are very friendly. The road is long to carry fuel and snacks for the trip since there are few places to stop en route. It is worth visiting this magical city between mountains.

What to do in the pocket without a car - This year I made the trip with my friends and since I didn't get much information about the possible destinations to do without a car, I decided to collaborate with this post. Details before you start reading: *All bus schedules can be seen in Guia Voy *For all destinations, except Puerto Patriadas, the bus company is called La Golondrina. *Prices are from January 2024, where the Blue Dollar is around 1220 pesos - Day 1: The bus from Bariloche takes approximately 3 hours, from there I recommend taking a bus to your accommodation, which cost 1500 pesos. It is recommended, depending on the arrival time, to do something short for that day. How can it be to visit the square fair. - Day 2: The blue drawer. The ideal is to go on the bus to Warthon at 8am (1150 Argentine pesos). If not, you can take a taxi to the base that costs 9 thousand. The excursion consists of trekking lasting between 3 hours and 4 hours per section, depending on the pace of walking and the stops you are looking to make. My recommendation is to go to the box for lunch, get in and hang out there; to return at 4:30/5 p.m. and arrive early for the 8:00 p.m. bus, which is the last one. - Day 3: Lago Puelo, one of the simplest destinations in physical demand and easy to get to. The buses run every hour and cost 850 pesos per person. Once you get off the bus, you enter the national park - which does not charge an entrance fee - and you can go to the beach to spend the day. A few meters away there are bathrooms and a grocery store nearby for anything you need. Keep in mind that the ideal is to return before 9 p.m., which is the time when there are no more park rangers. - Day 4: Paradise. The only trekking that does not require physical demands of all of those mentioned. But it has logs, rocks which you have to jump over and a path to get there that is not fully signposted. Likewise, at the time of posting -January 2024-, the bridge to cross is not enabled. In any case, you can cross the river, or stay on the other side where there are also little beaches to spend the day. The bondi to get there costs 730 pesos and is called Warthon for campsites. The same must be taken to Camping Doña Rosa. In the guide, the times to this stop are not marked; and the Huenai campsite should be used as a reference. As in El Cajon, there are no bathrooms nearby in the area and the supplies along the way are few, so it is recommended to bring everything you need from the center. - Day 5: Puerto Patriada, to reach the destination there is a single one-way bus at 11am, which costs 2000 per person. And, for the return, it leaves the place at 7:00 p.m. This destination is ideally left for the end, when one is tired, since you don't have to walk far to get there. Likewise, it has bathrooms and places near the beach where you can spend the whole day. Furthermore, according to the townspeople, kayaking here is cheaper than elsewhere. - Day 6: Bahia las percas, you have to take the bus to Epuyen Lago, which costs 850 pesos each way. And so far it has 3 schedules, 7:30, 2:10 and 7:15 p.m. We went to the one at 7:30 and came back at the one at 7:15 The destination to get there consists of a 3-hour trek per section. The reality is that it is a nice place but, being little known, it does not have all the security of registration and rescue protocol that the cajon has. And, at times, the way to get there is along the mountain gravel. Likewise, to get there, you should be guided by the signs and red marks that usually appear along the way. So I recommend that you be very attentive. During the walk and in the place, there are no bathrooms or anything to buy. So it is advisable to go with a lot of water, since the path is very bare and you will only come across a hill, where water cannot be drunk. When you return to the base, there are already bathrooms and some places to shop.

Way too crowded in February and March - Traffic was overwhelming, Bariloche was hot and packed, drivers aggressive. Most restaurants were just average for food , high for price. El Bolson slightly less frantic but not fun Lago Puelo is great, hope it stays that way.
