Guests are picked up from Cairo or Giza every Saturday at a time of their choosing. They are then transported in a modern vehicle to a hotel in Giza, where they will meet a professional Egyptology tour guide and leader.

Sunday

The tour begins with a visit to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, to admire the magnificent statue crafted by King Ramesses II. Next, guests will visit the oldest stone structure on the planet, the step pyramid of King Djoser, designed by the brilliant architect Imhotep in 2670 B.C. Following this, guests will be transferred to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid, the only surviving wonder of the ancient seven wonders. The Egyptologist guide will reveal many secrets and mysteries about this colossal structure, which served as a tomb for King Khufu, and guests will also see the Sphinx. A lunch break is provided before transferring to the Giza railway station to board an overnight sleeping train to Aswan (dinner included).

Monday (Aswan)

In the morning, guests will visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, mother of Horus the savior. This temple, built during the Greco-Roman era on the Island of Love, is a UNESCO World Heritage site saved from submersion after the construction of the dam in 1932.

Tuesday

Guests will enjoy a night on a felucca, a traditional sailboat, experiencing the majestic Nile, the source of life, with full board and authentic Egyptian cuisine prepared by the Nubians.

Wednesday

After checking out from the felucca, guests will drive towards Luxor, visiting the Edfu Temple en route. This is the most well-preserved temple in Egypt, built as a house for the god Horus, lord of the sky. Upon arrival in Luxor, guests will check into a 4-star hotel. In the afternoon, they will visit Karnak Temple, the largest temple ever built for a single god, Amun Ra, lord of the gods, and Luxor Temple.

Thursday (Valley of the Kings)

On the West Bank of Luxor, one of the world’s most famous sites, guests will explore where the kings of the 18th dynasty, around 1450 B.C., chose to be buried. This is where Sir Carter discovered the tomb of the golden pharaoh Tutankhamun in 1922. Guests will also visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the female king, before driving to Hurghada on the Red Sea for a two-night stay.

Guests have a day at leisure.

Saturday (Hurghada to Cairo)

Guests will drive to Cairo for their last night at the Giza Hotel.
