- Blackness Castle - From Linlithgow, the tour travels to Blackness, home to Blackness Castle (optional extra), affectionately called “the ship that never sailed” due to its triangular shape extending into the Forth. In Outlander, Blackness Castle serves as the set for Fort William, the headquarters of Black Jack Randall. Looking down the Forth towards Edinburgh, visitors can see the three bridges spanning the water.
- Midhope Castle - The final stop of the day depends on the season. In summer, the tour continues to Midhope Castle (optional extra). This 16th-century townhouse served as the backdrop for Lallybroch, Jamie Fraser’s family home. Visitors can take photos and enjoy the atmosphere, keeping an eye out for Jamie. If Midhope is closed for filming or if the tour is in winter, the tour will instead visit the Forth Bridges.
