Great walking tour for Harry Potter fans - We have a Harry Potter mad daughter (age 11) and thought this would be a great opportunity to do something different on our one day visit to Edinburgh, as we have been a few times before. Benjamin was a really wonderful guide. His passion for all things HP really shone throughout the tour. Our daughter really enjoyed it, of course, and she learned some trivia that was new to her. She particularly enjoyed the graveyard! The tour took us around some parts of the city which were new to us and we thought it was really well planned. It was 2 hours by foot, at a good pace for us. I think some younger kids would struggle with both the walking and the content. I think maybe 9 years plus but every child is different. The tour is very much about how the city inspired JK Rowling to write the books (no film locations here although some 'location inspirations'). We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to Harry Potter fans. If you are not into HP, it really is not for you!

Magical Muggle tour - My grandson and I did this Harry Potter walking tour, it was great, shame Jackson's wand had no effect on the weather though. We were not deterred and battled through the wind and rain

Best guide ever - Our guide Jackson was truly amazing. Full of energy, interesting stories and jokes. Would definitely go again the same route just for vibes alone. Slytherin forever.

For Potterheads everywhere - Good tour though disappointed it was totally Harry Potter focused - e.g. when we went to Greyfriars, I had to explain to kids who the dog was. Other than that, we really enjoyed it all. Benjamin was great.

Rename the tour about JK Rowling - The tour is more about JK Rowling's life while writing the book - how she was inspired by things she has experienced and seen in Edinburgh while writing the book.
