They will then tell you stories of Edinburgh’s form of entertainment. You will also be able to visit the famous Heart of Midlothian.
- Mercat Cross - Here you will learn about the gruesome time that the people of Edinburgh would partake in as well as what life was like for the people living in the city during the 17th Century.
You will find out about one of Edinburgh’s most infamous streets which is riddled with dark history and ghost stories alike.
- Advocate’s Close - You will be taken down Advocates Close where you will be told the dark tale of one of Edinburgh’s most famous ghost stories which still haunts the streets to this day.
- Victoria street - You will be taken down to Victoria Street, the inspiration for Diagon Alley from Harry Potter, where you will be told about another famous wizard, but this story is a far stretch from the boy wizard.
- Grassmarket - You will be taken to the 600-year-old market place to find out more about Edinburgh’s form of entertainment, and you will be told about a riot that occurred at one of these events resulting in a dark story of betrayal and murder. You will find out about Jesse King the last woman to be executed in Edinburgh and Maggie Dickson.
- Greyfriars Kirkyard - This is our final stop where you will be told about one of the most violent Poltergeist hauntings in Britain, War and Murder, Body snatching and Graverobbing, and even people being buried alive in one of the world’s most haunted cemeteries.

Great Ghost Tour!! - We always try to take ghost tours wherever we travel, it's a great way to learn local history and lore. This was one of the best ghost tours we've ever taken! Kieran is extremely knowledgeable on Scottish and Edinburgh history! You can tell he loves what he does because he is an enthusiastic story teller and took the time to patiently answer all our questions. I would highly recommend this tour!

Best history and ghost tour in Edinburgh - Kieran was absolutely fantastic! He is an amazing storyteller and incredibly knowledgable about Edinburgh’s dark history and ghost stories. I cannot recommend this tour enough, I have been to Edinburgh a few times before and have done other tours but there is no comparison, he is engaging, enthusiastic and passionate about the history and legends of Edinburgh and Scotland! Thank you so much for an amazing experience, Kieran! We will definitely book again soon!

If you’re on the fence, book it! - Had a great time! Kieran is a fantastic story-teller with a palpable passion for the city. He also kindly remembered members of our group that didn’t go on the tour and pointed them in our direction at the end of the tour when they were lost, which we really appreciated. 10/10 recommendations this tour and would definitely go again. Thanks Kieran!

Grisly and gripping tour; excellent guide - Fantastic tour with fun snippets about the darker side of Edinburgh. Kieran is a wonderful storyteller and excellent guide. The pacing was great and the location choices were perfect. Loved it!

LOOK NO FURTHER - YOU'VE FOUND THE BEST HISTORY/GHOST TOUR GROUP WITH EERIE EARTH TOURS!! - ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING TOUR!
If you're looking for one of the most informative, interesting and outright amazing tours of the dark history and ghosts of Edinburgh - look no further! The Eerie Earth Tours hosted by Keiran was beyond my expectations. Keiran is not only passionate about the history of this beautiful city, but he is so knowledgeable in all aspects of the past and the questionable experiences he and others have had. I don't think I would be able to appreciate landmarks, streets and monnuments around the city without the background that Keiran provided. The intriquite details - the story telling... he kept us engaged and spellbound by his renditions of the past.
Look no further - and trust me when I say that you shouldn't choose any other history/tour company than Eerie Earth Tours. They really are the best.
