Informative and worthwhile - Very informative on Scotland and the Edinburgh castle. It is uphill all the way to the castle but there were breaks along the way to hear more of the history of the castle and how it has been a used over the years.

Thank you Australian David! - Australian David was funny & knowledgeable! So glad we did a tour vs. exploring solo and after the tour ended we were able to stay within the castle grounds and explore inside the buildings! Definitely recommend this tour to others! We walked to the castle gates originally but learned we needed to instead find the correct umbrella further down the road (about 5 minutes walking) in front of a cathedral - but we arrived early enough that it was no problem!

Brilliant, book in advance & dont turn up early - WOW. Absoloutly amazing. We booked with a VIP tour & was well worth it. Due to the ear piece it was easy to hear the guide even if you vouldnt see her. Which was rare as due to H&S she kept us all together at all times! Allow 2 hours for guided tour & personal viewing. Purchase tickets in advance is a MUST & DONT turn up early as you won't be allowed in & nowhere to sit , wait, especially whilst seating structure for Edinburgh Tattoo is being erected!

Jen the TourGuide was awesome!! - Well, it all started with my mistakes! I booked a Spanish speaking tour- we don’t speak Spanish. Then, I didn’t read that we had a meeting place rather than meeting at the castle. Once the mistakes were realized, we went up to a man with a black/yellow umbrella and asked questions. He jumped into action and messaged someone to come help us. Within a few minutes, someone arrived with our tickets and allowed us to join in with an English speaking tour. What a stoke of luck! We ended up with Jen and what a delight! She is a wealth of information and entertaining! What a great time!
