- Edinburgh Castle - You will be guided through the grounds of Edinburgh Castle. It is worth to note that we can not take you inside any of the Caste Buildings (no tour operator can) but we will give you the rich history of the Castle, it’s place in Scottish history and many of it’s more unusual tales so that after the tour you will be able to explore the Castle with a much deeper understanding than a casual visitor.

- Edinburgh Castle is built on top of the core of an old volcano, the ground is often uneven and at times steep. Be prepared to be on your feet for the full duration of the tour. People with mobility issues may not get the most from this tour.

Kofi (Cofe, I am sorry... - Kofi (Cofe, I am sorry for the likely misspelling of the name) was a guide to die for! So vibrant, exuberant and energetic, great sense of humor, very charismatic and seems like he genuinely enjoys the tour himself. Very entertaining and educational enough. Thank you for a wonderful morning and last minute tickets to the Edinburgh castle

Wonderful Tour Great for All Ages - This was a great tour and Koffe was amazing. He was very knowledgable and added his own little flair to ensure that the tour was exciting and the audience was engaged. As he said, you could spend days learning about the whole history of Edinburgh Castle, but he did a good job of giving enough of a highlight that pointed you in the right direction to do more research on your own.

Tour guide 'Steph' and Edinburgh Castle - The signage and instructions to find the meeting point was totally inadequate - a hotlink to an address which turned out to be a cathedral. No indication that the trip was subcontracted to another provider -or maybe Viator was just a facilitator. Add to that thousands of people milling about the main tourist area at the height of the season - The Edinburgh Fringe.
Setting that aside we found the tour of Edinburgh Castle and our tour guide Steph from 'Little Fish Tours' excellent. The Castle was fascinating and Stephs knowledge of her country's History and dates was impressive, she delivered a very dry subject in a memorable, fun and entertaining fashion. I couldn't recommend her highly enough. It's these people on the ground that demonstrate real professionalism and keep us punters coming back through good reviews.

Skip this and take the audio tour on your own - Where to start: finding the meeting place with no sign of Viator and then having to register and get tickets a second time. Then, meeting tour guides in a group of 100 people. Our group of 35 spent 45 minutes greeting each other, walking up to the Castle in the middle of the Fringe Festival with tour guide carrying no sign or recognizable marker. The tour itself had more pop culture commentary than historical insight. We gave up after 70 minutes and walked the grounds ourselves. Wish we had bought an audio tour and walked the Castle ourselves! Viator, pick a better tour partner in the future!
