Paranormal or not, it was a good experience. - We did the double dead tour with Katie, she was a great story teller. She made some of the moments spooky by how she told the stories. We aren't sure if we had a paranormal experience or not, but we had something. We were in the vaults under the bridge and in the last room. When the lights were off, I felt like someone pushed me in the back, I turned around assuming it was my son or daughter-in law, but when I turned around neither of them were that close to me. It happened twice, my daughter-in law swore she saw something out of the corner of her eye when I got pushed. Paranormal or not, it was an experience. The only thing I would change would be the order because it was so cold, if they ended in the vaults, it was warmer in there.

A truly haunted experience - Definitely not for the faint of heart.
We came on a rainy day at night so it was slippery and visibility was bad, especially underground. But our guide, Ben, was extremely careful and made sure no one was left behind.
Ben was also very good at sharing both the historical stories of the unglamorous, dark tales of old Edinburgh, so kudos to that!
I'd like to appreciate that we went to the Double Dead tour and there are no scare actors then, just unadulterated pure feeling of dread and hanging mystery. I won't spoil where either, and it was different between my family and I, but each of us also felt an uncomfortable or even downright eerie sensation and even a chill in some locations.
A truly haunted experience indeed!

Spooky, fun, and informative tour about the dark history of Edinburgh - This was a super fascinating and fun tour to learn more about the dark history of Edinburgh with the added experience of being on edge in the darkness of the vaults and Greyfriars' cemetery. I had Beth for the first half of the tour, and then Zander for the second half (this isn't typical, but we had a unforeseen circumstances and they transitioned seamlessly!) and both of them were fantastic storytellers and knowledgeable guides. They led the tour with the right amount of education/historical context, spooky ghost stories, and humor.
I was honestly more freaked out by this tour than I anticipated! The vaults were super dark and creepy, I definitely felt a heaviness in the air that made it uncomfortable at times. Same with the prison in Greyfriars' — I could absolutely feel a dark, looming presence in the cell where Bloody Mackenzie's spirit is known to lurk. Didn't see anything, but I was too scared to really look into the dark corners so that's my own doing :)
I absolutely recommend this tour if you're into the paranormal and dark history! Really fun way to spend an evening in Edinburgh.

Great experience - Absolutely loved this tour. Our guide, Ben, was great and made it as entertaining as it was interesting. Loved that we got to see the prison and that its only available on this tour. I'd been to that cemetery before and did not even know it was there. I wold highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous time! - One of the funnest and informative tours we’ve been on. Nat is charismatic, warm and funny, she knew her stuff and her passion for history and ghost stories made the night (even in the rain!).
Thank you Nat!

Not to be missed! - Fantastic experience. The tour is so incredible interesting and just spooky enough to give you a small chill as you explore the underground vaults. I joined for the history, my friend joined for the ghost stories and we all loved it. The best part was our tour guide Nat who was so knowledgeable and you could also tell that she really loved giving the tour and also lives she breathes Edinburgh history. She was so charismatic and made the tour really enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone!

Fascinating look at a different view of Scotland's history - This tour went to several different locations and we were able to learn a lot of history (informative and macabre) as well. It's such an interesting way to learn a different aspect of history! Our guide Ben had a great sense of showmanship, which added a lot to the stories he told. He was willing to roll with the punches and answer any random questions we had, while ensuring that we stayed safe. Going into the underground vaults was fascinating, and the graveyard was intriguing as well. We did a fair bit of walking, including stairs, so make sure that you wear good shoes, and bundle up. My only regret was that I didn't think to bring cash to tip our guide (it is not required).

Atmospheric and interesting tour of Edinburgh's underworld - Went on 17th Nov with Ben, who was a great tour guide!
He provided a lot of detail of the history of Edinburgh and at the same time created a dark atmosphere that really pulled you in!

Fun and spooky experience - Me and my girlfriend did the double dead tour. The underground was really cool and spooky. Our guide Natalie (I think) who was an older woman from Northern England was a very good storyteller and made it super creepy. My girlfriend was very scared and it gave me a good laugh. The second part of the tour was just okay because the graveyard is open to the public and you could go there yourself but the stories she told were still interesting.
