An excellent hike for those visiting Edinburgh - Arthur's Seat Hike was a challenging, yet rewarding experience. The tour guide, Mark, really enhanced the experience with his professional delivery of information regarding the local area. There were several breaks for everyone to catch their breath and have a little rest during the hike. The guide carried with him, two walking sticks for help with balance for those that might need the help. The hike, due to inclines, is physically demanding, and especially so near the end of the hike and at the peak of the hills, so that is worth bearing in mind. But it is well worth it should you persevere with the hike!

Hike with a guide well worth it! - While you can do the hike to Arthur’s Seat on your own, this tour is worth the extra to hear a knowledgeable guide show you the best routes and give you information about the area. David, our guide, was excellent. He stopped periodically on the way up at strategic points to let us catch our breath and talk about the magnificent views. It’s pretty strenuous, especially near the top.
