Awesome start to the day with exercise, beautiful scenery and a little learning - Our guide David was fantastic. He gave us some interesting information about the city and the area as he led us up the hill, maximizing the scenery and helping us avoid the crowd. Author’s seat is a stunning piece of nature, a short walk from the center of Edinburgh. When I return, I’ll hike it without a guide. However, for the first visit, I’m glad I had a guide to give some context to the amazing views

Great guide, amazing views. - While I’ve done several hikes before in California, I truly appreciated having a guide for this experience. On our way up to Arthur’s Seat, our guide shared several historical facts about Edinburgh and the area surrounding Arthur's seat - my friend and I really learned a lot! Our guide also thoughtfully paced the hike, making several stops so we could rest, enjoy the views, and take photos. His knowledge of the terrain was also invaluable as he pointed out the safest and most scenic paths to take. Needless to say, the views from multiple vantage points were absolutely breathtaking and no photo could do them justice. Even if I were to do this hike again, I’d choose this guided tour again to get the most out of the experience.

- This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Alexander, clearly had a real passion for Scotland. He led us up Arthur’s Seat with care, always checking in to make sure everyone was doing well. When we reached the top, it actually started to rain and the rocks got pretty slippery—but Alexander guided us down safely, knowing exactly where to step. If you’re worried about the difficulty of the hike—don’t be! It was really well tailored to the group’s fitness level. Along the way, Alexander shared stories about the landscape and Scottish history, weaving them in beautifully and keeping us entertained the whole time. After the tour, some of us visited the Holyrood Palace, which is right next to the meeting point—and it was definitely worth a visit. A must-do if you’re into hiking, love stunning 360° views, and aren’t afraid of a little rain and wind!

Great experience!! - David was a great tour guide! He was full of knowledge and able to answer all of our questions, we learned so much about the history of Scotland, and more! He catered the tour to our group, always made sure we were safe, and took breaks without us having to say we needed one. Would highly recommend! I would highly recommend!

Wonderful guide and amazing views! - David was amazing, he was friendly, warm, very knowledgeable and entertaining. The further we went up he was patient with the various fitness levels in the group and was there to lend a hand, making sure we were safely going up or down any slippery or tricky areas. Would recommend this excursion 100%!

Take a hike! - This was a great hike. Be prepared for a long walk in a very rocky path. You will want to wear the proper shoes and carry water when you go. The view is wonderful, and a great place to take pictures. WARNING: There is nothing to see/do when you get to the top other than take in the views. It would be best not to take kids.
