3 Day 2 Night Ultimate Skye Tour with Highland Experience Tours - WE had a wonderful tour that was hosted by Alex. He took us from Edinburgh to Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond, through Glenco, along the shores of the Caledonian canal and Loch Ness and then to Inverness on Day#1. On Day #2, we drove from Inverness to Isle of Skye where we stopped to see some Highland 'Coos', visited Portree and then stopped at the Staffin cliffs and the Kiltrock formation on the coast as well as seeing th 'Old Man of Storr from the bus. We did not stop because it was raining at the time. We then drove back to Inverness. On the third day we cruised Loch Ness and visited Urquhart Castle with its beautiful shoreline views. We then stopped at the site of the Cullodin Battle followed by the picturesque small city of Pitlochery before returning to Edinburgh. Alex was pleasant and very helpful with his suggestions for dining such as MacGregors for dinner and a pint in Inverness, and MacKenzies for ice cream in Pitlochery. He also played a nice assortment of bagpipe music, Scottish folksongs and ACDC on the bus. Alex gave good historical background on all the regions and stops, and was an excellent driver which made us feel safe on the bus. You will have a memorable experience if you book this tour. Great tour - Great trip. Our driver/guide was great and very informative. We unfortunately had more than the usual amount of rain per Michael. We enjoyed the photo opportunity stops and also had nice lunch stops. Trip advisor could have provided more info - it would have been nice to know that there was a coffee / cafe place right at the Departure site.

Amazing and Memorable - Absolutely delightful journey. Glad I chose this tour. Our driver and guide Neil was excellent. The tour across the Isle of Skye was the best as the views were brilliant..!! The hotel accomodation was also perfect as it was very close to Inverness town centre and allowed an opportunity to walk through the town with much ease. One can only want more time in Inverness to absorb the beauty of the City..!! Since public transport is very weak in the Highlands, this makes a perfect choice.

What a wonderful adventure! Thanks to Paul for making it extra special! - What a wonderful way to see Isle of Skye! And our tour guide Paul was a gem!! Wonderful stories and antidotes, knowledgeable in history of the Highlands and Isle of Skye and Scotland in general, great sense of humor, great driving, etc…. I could go on and on! He was also patient with my mom, who is 81 and has difficulty walking sometimes and doing stairs. But Paul was always checking in on “Grandma”. 😄 Highland Explorations is VERY lucky to have him on their team! The BnB in Inverness was also lovely and the staff was great! Many options for breakfast, which was good (and yummy!) We lucked out with beautiful weather, also! And Paul made a non-itinerary stop for us to see coos!! 🧡 My only minor complaint is the stop at Old Man of Storr - it should just be a bathroom break, not to see the formation. There is a much better view of it from our stop at Bridal Falls. It would be much better to bring your guests to a viewing point like that. But all in all, a WONDERFUL experience!

Three days Highlands, just great! - The tour is a must for anyone who wants to experience Scotland. Our guide was Ian, who is really into his profession. It goes in a comfortable minibus through the Highlands and you see so many fantastic locations and so much information additional information about the country, the people, the food, etc. During the stops you can explore the area yourself and get so many impressions yourself. Glen Coe, Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, Eilean Donan Castle and the ruins of Urquhart Castle, a visit to the museum (very well done) and the Culloden battlefield and a whisky tasting at Dhalwannie, etc. are on the agenda. For us it is certain we will come back and book another tour. We can only recommend the trip.
