Amazing Experience! - Carlos was an amazing guide! He was able to share so much about the flora and fauna in the jungle along with the indigenous culture. Everyone at the lodge was very attentive and welcoming! The accommodations were comfortable. They packed a lot of things in to just two days and one night! It’s a very early start coming from Quito (5am) and arriving in at the lodge around 9:30am. The driving service they had arranged to get me there was great, they messaged me in WhatsApp the night before to confirm the ride. Upon arrival I was given a tea and a snack while the basics of the lodge were reviewed with me, along with the schedule. Then there was some downtime where I could rest, swim in the pool, have a drink, or go to the spa. Right after lunch Carlos took me on a walk to identify important plants of the jungle. Then we got ready to go for a short, serene float in an inner tube down the river. After dinner we went with our flashlights on another walk to identify nocturnal animals and critters. The next day after breakfast I packed everything up and took it with me to hike to a waterfall where I got to swim and get a massage from the strong falling water. Then we took a motorized canoe to a local indigenous community for lunch and they showed me some of their local customs and I had a chance to buy some of their artisanal products. Finally, after taking the canoe back to the port I got to see capuchin monkeys running freely in the city plaza. Also got to enjoy the local delicacy of chontacuro, a fat worm that you can eat live or grilled. I then had a private shared transport back to Quito. Overall it was an amazing experience and I can’t get over how great the people were! I would recommend this experience. Of course with the longer stays you can see and do more, but if you just wanted a taste of what it’s like in the jungle then this is a great option!

Wonderful two-day tour into the Amazon - This was a great little tour. The transportation from Quito was great, with stops along the way. The staff at Suchipakari were awesome and helpful, and the lodge was a great place to stay. The excursions included in the tour were a perfect introduction to the Amazon and well worth the money. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Amazing - Really nice resort. Staff was helpful and friendly. All the activities were interesting and fun and the food was good. The car ride is 4.5 hours from central Quito on a hilly and curvy road.

Truly in the middle of the jungle - The resort where we stayed was excellent and truly in the middle of the jungle. I learned a lot about the indigenous culture when talking with the guide at the hotel who took us on a walk in the jungle and the night walk as well.

Good but could easily be great - Beautiful property, comfortable rooms, amazing guides, excellent food and the beauty of the Amazon! Amazing experience. Only downsides were the cost and I was placed in a room next to a new construction build. One could easily bus or share a ride and pay for the room and excursions for half of what I paid with the upcharge of being a solo traveler. The construction came with unbearable and consistent machinery buzzing, drilling, and hammering as I attempted to relax and take in the views I literally had to leave to get away from the noise. I'm certain the upgrades will be great for the property but in the meantime it would be an easy recommendation to place guests on the opposite side of the property vs immediately next to the noise. The cost for the convenience of not having to plan all of this certainly makes the experience easier for travelers that don't want to have to figure out the logistics. All in all a great time with a bit of upside to be a perfect experience.
