Unbelievable Sights at Sierra Negra - We had an amazing day on this guided tour! Omar was a great guide and provided a wealth of information. The pace of the hike was good. Well worth the effort to see a beautiful and other worldly environment on beautiful Isabela Island. We enjoyed the food after our hike -very good! Thank you for the photos and for a wonderful day!

Good steady walk up the Sierra Nagar volcano. - Yes it's a good 17km walk yet it's very pleasant. The guide we had split his talk updates into English for the English part of the group and Spanish for the other part. He was very good and gave a good talk about the volcano and it's history and also the island and it's creatures. They provided a small snack of a drink, fruit biscuit and a cheese roll. All very edible. The hotel pickup was spot on time and was in a open bus with the other tour guests. Overall out at 07.00 and back at 13.30.

Marvelous volcano hike - So I originally booked my tour to do the tunnels with this agency, and Sebastian quickly confirmed and I had asked some questions and decided to book this tour and the the Tintoreras as well, just trusting my guts, as they were so friendly and I really appreciate taking the time to answer questions about other tours. And so I got to this tour, and you start your day in a very foggy spot, I was so sad as I thought that that's going to be the rest of the hike, just walking in the fog, but Alfredo our superb and charming guide was already explaining that once we start walking it would clear up, as it actually did! The hike was incredible, it's stranuous but a great full day and the views are simply stunning. Our guide Alfredo was divine! So knowledgeable about so many things and such a lovely persona, I was extremely happy with this tour! And I was one of the only people that had a rain coat and proper long sleeved shirt, as the other agencies didn't tell their passengers to brig them, so choosing to continue and book with Sebastian also ended up being a wise decision. They were very caring and asked how it went afterwards and really the whole day was marvelous.

Great experience - It was challenging hike but worth it when we saw the massive caldera - we started late due to paperwork mixup with Viator so finished later than expected

A good hike but unsure why a guide is necessary. - We had a good guide that explained everything. The hard part was that it was a big group at different pace levels so it was fairly impossible keep the group together. The more important thing is that we were able to hear about the history when we were at the top but on the descent people were basically scattered. When you get to the top of the volcano it's quite large in terms of land coverage big but there isn't a whole lot to look at. I was actually more impressed with the Volcan Chico which comes after you get to the summit and descend down. Here is where you get to see the lava tunnels and the remnants of the last eruption which was pretty cool. The box lunch was a tuna sandwich, some cookies, and a juice box which was just ok although I have to say after a long hike was nice.

Not worth the time effort as it is a just a dark hole! - This is a long, hard almost run as the guides are on precise times to complete it. If you are over 40 and overweight and have any health issues at all, do not do this. Plus, it’s not worth it it’s just a big dark hole! Rough, terrain variety of terrain And again not worth it not sure how much it cost as it was included in a tour but I’m sure it cost over $100 per person. They did small pack a small lunch which we were given to eat. There are no animals to see, and basic greenery that can be seen anywhere. Save your money and go on a snorkeling tour as the marine life is awesome if you do not know how to snorkel learn because you will never see, the under Waters more beautiful than around Isabella and these islands. Enjoy.

Tour was great but transportation is a safety hazard - The hike itself was awesome. Our guide was great and very informative. We were provided lunch which was nothing fancy but enough to satisfy after the long hike. My only complaint is regarding the transportation. We were driven up to the trailhead in a bus with completely open sides, not even a railing and there were no seatbelts so basically nothing to stop someone from falling out should something happen. On top of that, the driver was absolutely flying on the way there. It felt incredibly unsafe. I’m not sure how true it is but afterwards a different tour operator told us those buses have a tendency to tip over which honestly I would not be surprised based on our experience. Although the guide and the tour were very good I would not book again with this method of transportation due to the safety concern.

Landscape beautiful, tour not so good due to hurried guide - The landscape is beautiful, sadly our tour started late, others had events at 14:00/14:30 back in town so we had to rush everything. We arrived and the guide was unhappy. Generally I sadly have to say that we learned more from the taxi driver than the guide since he barely explained anything at all. Maybe he had a bad day, still sad.
