Love the Galapagos, great experience with Rebecca adventure travel - The islands were beautiful! We saw 3 islands, with the travel agency arranging everything from start to finish. Clean neat hotels, English speaking guides, transfers from island to island. The best part was the fantastic activities every day. Snorkeling at Kicker Rock and Los Tuneles is really a must! But we also went kayaking and paddle boarding. Everything we wanted to do was arranged for us. A super price quality ratio for the trip of our dreams.

Honeymoon in the Galapagos - My wife and I had an amazing time using Rebecca Adventure Travel to book our honeymoon in the Galapagos islands. Prior to the trip we were worried about the planning of activities. As we have never been to the Galapagos Islands, it was challenging to understand the best way to book a trip, especially in the midst of the pandemic. In planning the trip, we were emailed directly by a Rebecca Adventure travel agent (Karina), who was extremely helpful in booking our trip and answering our (many) questions. She also asked us questions to ensure we would have an amazing time in the Galapagos. Our trip consisted of 9 days in the Galapagos. We originally planned for 8, but due to flight timing and COVID testing processes, we added one extra day. Upon arrival in the Galapagos, we were greeted by a local guide (Wendy), who brought us from the airport directly to the hotel. This was a common theme throughout the trip, as we were greeted by local guides to take us to and from our hotel and travel accommodations based on our trip's activities. We also had plenty of time to explore the islands for ourselves which included exploring the various beaches on the islands, renting bikes to trek to the wall of tears, and enjoying the cuisine at the local restaurants. We spent much of the trip at sea on boats, kayaks and yachts. We visited Kicker Rock, Pinnacle Rock, and Los Tuneles where we snorkeled or scuba dived with sea turtles, sea lions, beautiful fish, and sharks! We also travelled to the Santa Cruz Highlands where we saw the amazing Galapagos Turtles. Everything was exactly how we dreamed it would be on our honeymoon. We enjoyed staying at the local hotels, which were clean and the staff was friendly. We especially liked the Hotel Ikala in Puerto Ayora, which offered us breakfast in an enclosed rooftop area where we could view out into the sea. At each hotel, the staff was aware that it was our honeymoon, and offered us complimentary cocktails and/or a bottle of wine. On the final night of our trip, a local Rebecca Adventure Travel guide brought us to one of the best restaurants on the island of Santa Cruz for a celebration dinner. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Fantastic Experience - I fell in love. - I cannot even begin to describe the details that Rebecca Adventure Travel remember. Literally it is everything. I have never been taken care of so well and so extensively. The daily tours and activities were fantastic, the individuals greeting me on each island were friendly, helpful, informative and just generally wonderful folks. I am truly impressed with the detail, caring nature and the just general desire to please. Thanks to Rebecca Adventure Travel, I have truly fallen in love with the Galapagos and will be heading back soon.

The Galapagos trip of our dreams - Rebecca Travel made our trip to Quito and the Galapagos everything we wanted. Working with Karina was wonderful, she's fast to respond to any questions and great with itinerary details. The hotels we stayed at were all lovely, and the guides (Fernando in Quito especially!) were all great.

Amazing adventures - We took the 8 day Galapagos Island Hopping tour in May 2019 and would highly recommend it! Rebecca Travel gave us an itinerary of planned activities for each day and recommendations for restaurants and other activities to do in the area. The format of the trip fit our travel style really well. Breakfast was provided most days, transportation picked us up from the hotel for activities, and the guides made sure we had a great time and got where we needed. Rebecca Travel was quick to answer my questions via Whatsapp and made sure we were taken care of. The activities were awesome! We went snorkeling multiple times with knowledgeable guides who worked hard to make sure we got to see all the wildlife we could. For the activities we did, the snorkeling gear was provided. We rented wet suits which helped a lot because the water was chillier than expected. We are fair skinned so we made sure to wear sun shirts, long hiking pants, sturdy shoes, water/land sandals, and wide brim hats. Make sure to bring plenty of sun block because it is expensive on the islands. Bring Dramamine for the boat rides between islands, the water can be choppy. Underwater cameras are a great to have but many of our guides took pictures and videos for us.

Unforgettable Galapagos trip in 8 days - We hired the 8-day Galapagos tour, and very happy with the experience and with the excursions. We also had a problem with the flight company IBERIA, who did not take our bags to Bartra Island, and left us in Quito, and the follow-up of managing the collection of bags until taking them from Bartra airport to the hotel where we were staying, was a courtesy of Rebecca Adventure Travel Enterprise, which is always to be appreciated in these desperate cases and that you do not want to miss a day of travel. In Isabela Island we made friends with the guide Alfredo, nicknamed Minino, with whom we made the excursion to the Tunnels and that was the best experience we had and in Santa Cruz Island with the guide Cesar, who taught us the turtles as no one had done and with a very affectionate treatment. The bay tour that was contracted with another company we did not like, and the isabela top was loose, but otherwise was wonderful and recommended to 100%

Very disappointing - and very poor service! - My wife and I have recently been on an 8 day Galapagos Island hop tour with Rebecca Adventure Travel and unfortunately for us the whole experience with this company was very disappointing. The tour was un-coordinated and extremely disorganised. From the various communications we received prior to arriving in the Galapagos (from Rebecca Adventure Travel), our expectation was that this trip was a fully guided group tour with approximately 12 other travelers joining the party. However, from the moment we arrived in Galapagos to the moment we finished the tour (8 days later); at no point in time did we actually see or meet anyone who was employed or worked directly for Rebecca Travel. The whole trip was run and operated by multiple tour agencies, freelancers, and sub-contractors. One sub-contractor (on San Cristobal Island) even told us he did not know who Rebecca Adventure Travel was! Consequently we felt like we were being pushed and pulled in different directions. With this lack of structure and personnel continuity It soon became apparent that no-one had any real knowledge, understanding or interest of our overall itinerary and as Rebecca Travel did not provide a detailed schedule for us to follow, we were often left fending for ourselves and asking hotel personnel to call Rebecca Travel’s office in Quito to provide us with answers to simple questions which should have been covered by local guides. Another disappointment was that this was not a group tour as advertised by Rebecca Travel. We were in fact on our own throughout the trip, and whilst this wasn’t a major issue for us, we were looking forward to interacting with other people, and for someone travelling alone this would not be much fun! In addition, our tour plan included all meals – however, despite the fact that there are numerous reasonably priced restaurants serving great food on all the Galapagos Islands, Rebecca Travel had booked all our evening meals at eating places where there was no atmosphere and the only items available on Rebecca Travel’s meal plan was Chicken and rice or Tuna and rice! Furthermore, on one occasion Rebecca Travel expected us to leave our hotel (which was serving great food) to visit a low-end restaurant (a 15 minute walk away in torrential rain) and sit in a dimly lit room on our own… eating more Chicken and rice! The program of activities offered by Rebecca travel on this trip lacked imagination and creativity. When you read the list of things you will experience in their promotional material it all sounds amazing… but in realty a lot of the activities are no more than a guide walking you 300 - 500 meters from your hotel and pointing to the sea and saying: “here is your snorkel trip” (and example being Concha Perla) or Flamingo Lagoon which is a small pond where I’m told by the guide the most flamingos he’d ever seen there was 12 (we saw one). There were however 3 things on this trip which I consider to be great activities, these being: Kicker rock (snorkel or dive), Los Tuneles snorkel, and Sierra Negra Volcano. The other items on this tour are nice to see but definitely not worth paying a tour company to show you. Finally on a positive note and in the spirit of providing future travellers with some useful information I would say this: The Galapagos Islands are a fantastic destination and there are a lot of amazing things to see and do. Luckily we managed to stay in Galapagos after our disappointing experience with Rebecca Travel and we actually had a fantastic time self-guiding and exploring! So if you are considering or planning a trip to these islands, my advice is to either go self-guided, or choose a different tour company other than Rebecca Travel. It’s very easy to book activities online or simply arrive in Puerto Ayora (on Santa Cruz Island) and arrange everything with one of the many reputable companies based there. The money you will save can be spent on booking some more interesting trips (such as snorkeling and diving on Daphne, Gorden Rocks, and North Seymore) and eating great food at any restaurant of your choice! A great snorkel and diving company I would recommend is Albatross (based in Puerto Ayora). The Albatross staff are amazing, all very professional and friendly! Enjoy your trip!
