The view is amazing! - We made this tour in early January 2025. The journey was very quiet and our guide Joshua gave a lesson about the history of Ecuador and about the volcanoes, especially the Cotopaxi. The first stop was very interesting. Learning about how people live and what they produce was a big difference on the tour. The descent to the Quilotoa crater was relatively calm. The look is amazing. The climb was a little harder, but don't let it stop you from taking the walk. In the end, it's worth it! Thank you, Joshua!

Quilotoa tour- just amazing ! - The entire tour was phenomenal down to the last detail. Fernando who was our tour guide was extremely attentive to everyone’s needs, organized and extremely passionate and knowledgeable of not only Quiltoa but Ecuador as a whole! A massive thank you to the Drivey, Yimmy who drove long arduous hours and ensured we were safe! Quiltoa itself was breathtaking and a marvel! 100% recommend!

An unforgettable but challenging experience. - The trip was beautiful and our guide Jessica was very attentive and friendly, especially informed, we loved it! We learned a lot not only from the Laguna, but also from Ecuador, its culture and its indigenous communities.

Exceptional Experience! - This was an extraordinary travel experience and more for those with an adventurous spirit. Our guides Jorge and Dario were fantastic. Pickup was punctual and we entered Cotopaxi National Park through a rural route offering a local flavor. We saddled up for the horse ride which was an enjoyable outing for about an hour. Afterwards we headed up to our next stop for the hike up to base camp. It’s a challenging hike be sure you have acclimated to Quito altitude as this hike will put your lungs to the test. The vistas are spectacular and Cotopaxi is a sight to see up close. Making it to base camp was great and a nice notch on the hiking belt.

A fun outing. - This was a great trip. We had a number of stops before reaching a beautiful lake. Jessica, the guide, spoke great English and provided a lot of information about the mountains and culture if the Andes. Maurice was an outstanding driver.

Definitely worth going - This was a great day trip from Quito. It was super well organized and definitely worth going. The climate was not the best but our guide made sure we got the most out of it moving around the stops on the way. Quilotoa lagoon is impressive. Just have in mind that going down and back up can be challenging on the body due to the altitude. But, you can also do half or even less with the same fun (my point of view). 4/5 from me because the other two stops on the way (an art shop and an indigenous house) were not really my cup of tea.

Difficult but enjoyable visit - I did the tour with Fernando. It took us around 3h to get to Quilotoa but before getting there we stopped by a house of an Indigenous family to see the products they grow and the way they live. Once we reached Quilotoa, we spend a few mins taking pictures of the lake and then went down to the bottom of the crater. It took me over 35 mins to get to the viewing platform and almost an hour to get back up. It was quite strenuous and made harder by the loose sand you have to walk on. We then had lunch in the restaurant nearby and drove back to Quito. It took over 3.5h to get back because of an accident along the way that forced us to sit in a standstill traffic for over an hour. But aside from that it was a relaxing day.
