Day tour to Cotopaxi and two Lagoons - We had a private tour with our guide Diego. He was on time picking us up and his car was clean and comfortable. Our first stop was a viewpoint of Quito. I believe he said Quito is about 87 km long. We then hot the road and stopped at a gas station to pick up coffee and snacks and use the restroom. Of you have a hard time adjusting to the high altitude, eat something sweet. We then headed to Cotopaxi which was about 1.5 hr drive. We stopped at the entry point to pay the entry fee which is covered on the tour cost. We then drove through the park to see Cotopaxi. It was a bit foggy so most of the top of the volcano was covered. We then reached Laguna de Limpiopungo and walked around the lagoon. The landscape and wildlife was beautiful. It started to rain as we were leaving so our chances of see the top of the volcano before leaving was gone. Off we went to Los Andenes de Zumbahua, an indigenous village. The landscape on this drive which I think was between 1.5 - 2 hrs was quite nice. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative, it was raining. So when Laguna Quilotoa was not at all visible. The rain and fog completely covered it. Of course mother nature will do it's thing and we can't do anything about it. More reason for us to return during the dry season. We had lunch in the village and really enjoyed it. We then decided to head back as the rain started to get heavier. As part of the tour there are 3 other stops .. one to an art gallery and the other two I can't remember. We decided we didn't want to do that so we headed back to Quito which is a 3 hour drive. Again, Diego was great, he explained a lot history to us, he was very nice and professional, always ensured that we were comfortable. He also took great photos for us. Highly recommend him!

Efficient way to see Ecuador's wonders! - We were short on time so we chose a single day tour to see both Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. The drives were a bit long, but it was the only option to see both in one day. Pedro was a fantastic guide and was incredibly knowledgeable about the area! He was very welcoming and friendly and attentive to the guests. He was an excellent driver, and made sure that everyone was comfortable in the car. He also took some excellent photos! Overall, I recommend this experience if you're short on time, but if you have more days, then it's definitely worth it to do them in 2 different days.

Honest Review of the Cotopaxi and Quilotoa Experience - My mom and I found this tour by searching the best tours to do in Quito, Ecuador and the reviews were nothing but positive. Our guide was Diego P and not only was he punctual when picking us up, he was very knowledgeable about Cotopaxi, Laguna Quilotoa, the indigenous people that live in the Andes, as well as the overall history of Ecuador. Since it was just the three of us, we were able to make additional stops such as seeing some of the art galleries of the Tigua natives where they create all their paintings on sheepskin. Diego was friendly, attentive, and made us feel comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend booking this tour with Real Dreams Tours because you’ll get to see breathtaking views, eat delicious food, and obtain so much information about this beautiful country.

A++++++++ - This was a fulfilling and enriching experience that surpassed all expectations. Diego P was our guide who made us comfortable and at ease immediately. His conversational English is excellent, and he spent time at the beginning of the trip getting to know us and what we hoped to get from our adventure. He tailored the tour to our expressed interests in nature, indigenous culture and art and incorporated stops and information that will forever remain highlights of our time in Ecuador. Diego is an exceptional human and a positive example of Ecuadorian kindness and pride. Oh, and Cotopaxi and Quilotoa are totally amazing as well.
