The best waterfall - The Pailon of Diablo is a waterfall that is near baños. It is in Ambato and you can go with your family or your friends. First you need to take care because it can be very dangerous to go down there, since the path can be slippery especially when it’s raining. Also, you must bring other clothes to change because you can get wet. Above all, this waterfall is very beautiful to see

Opinion - This place it's amazing, It has a incredible views and the vegetation it's beautiful. A lot of tourists from all over the world visits this place. In this place you can do many activities to have fun like canopy, or puenting and another things. I think that Baños Is one of the most beautil places on Ecuador. Baños has a delicious food and it's cheap.

Wow! What an adventure! - The waterfalls are powerful and impressive. It's a short side trip (about an hour total) from the ruta cascada. Don't miss it if you are anywhere near the falls. Even if you're biking in the rain it's worth experiencing the power of the falls. This review is only for the original entrance to the falls, not the "new" and less-thrilling entrance. By the way, we only paid $2/person and not $5 (September 2019). Maybe the new entrance is $5. If you're riding from Banos, the new entrance is first and the original entrance is about 1/4 mile farther. It's a walk of about 1/2 mile and about 360 feet of elevation change to get to the falls from the top in Rio Verde. (By the way, don't miss out on the fresh empanadas while in Rio Verde). You arrive at a restaurant at the end of the path, then you pay the entrance fee and continue up the stairs to the tunnel behind the falls. I think the water was a little high when we went and the trip through the tunnel to behind the falls was running like a small river. We got VERY wet!!! But them we were wet anyway from biking the ruta cascada in the rain. I mean I was underwater at one point... The stairs are steep and rocky and the tunnel is so low you have to crawl through most of it. It is an adventure. But you don't have to go through the tunnel if you are intimidated by the water -- you get great views of the falls from the stairway. I'm not sure we would have done the tunnel without our superb guide (from Biking Dutchman) who we trusted with our lives.

Amazing Waterfalls - Great excursion. We went on a “Chiva” open truck and visited many waterfalls. Stop at the bridge for some zip lining if you were interested. Who wouldn’t want to fly like a kite or Superman. Then, we visited the best one: Pailón del Diablo and we visited both sides. If you only have time for one, make them take you to the one you have to hike 1km. It is worth it. But our amazing driver/guide let us do both.
