Ice Climbing - This was our second activity with Bliss Adventure. The website is easy to navigate and make bookings which are followed up with informative emails. We got kitted out by our instructors and headed off to the ice wall. We got our kit and ppe on then were instructed in the art of climbing up ice. Two at a time we, and the other participants ascended the first, easier ice wall utilising our newly taught skills and honing our technique. You get good feedback on how to improve your style. If your group is made up of couples it’s worth going in an order that allows one of your pair to photograph the other climbing. A short break for a well deserved hot juice drink then it’s time to attempt a new higher ice wall. When you ascend to your target there’s the opportunity to take in the views and take some selfies. Then it’s sit back and walk back down the wall for another hot drink then return to the storeroom. Jonathan and Innis* (hope this is spelt right) are excellent instructors with a lifetime of experience which they gladly share with you to make your trip more enjoyable. There were 2 time slots available. We climbed in daylight however it is possible to climb after dark (January) and we saw one group climbing whilst the Northern Lights flickered overhead. I recommend this activity enormously if you enjoy a good buzz.

A must do! - We had a wonderful time on our private class with Max and Johnathan. They gave us a thorough tutorial and took their time with us. Not only did they teach us how to ice climb but they taught us so much about Finnish culture and way of life. They let us climb and rest at our own pace and worked with us at our skill level. We loved every minute of our time with them! The campfire and hot berry juice was the cherry on top. This is truly a must-do when in the area.

Ice climbing. - I had a blast. The guides helped with everything I needed to make me feel safe and well cared for. I was able to do multiple climbs and rest by the fire.

Icy climbing fun at the waterfall - We had a super nice ice climbing experience with our two very nice, helpful guides. We had great weather conditions and after a short safety briefing and explanation of the technique we were able to climb right away. Everyone was allowed to climb two routes at the waterfall. There were different difficulty levels. Although we both had a lot of respect at the beginning and didn’t have any climbing experience, we had a lot of fun and grew beyond ourselves. We were also rewarded with a great view of the national park at the top of the waterfall. We can only warmly recommend the experience, for all who are looking for a sporting challenge. In between you also had the time to relax and enjoy hot berry juice by the campfire.

Ice climbing in Pyhä - We went ice climbing with our friends and it was the most fun experience ever. Our guides inessa and susanna were amazing, very knowledgeable, encouraging and supportive people. They explained everything very well and guided us through the whole process, where you could actually see the progress while climbing. It was the most funnest experience I’ve had in a while. A very good cherry on top of the experience was hot berry juice at the end.

Ice climbing- a great experience - We had a great ice climbing experience! The inctructors were very professionals- it was safe feeling during the climbing and the atmosphere was couriging and fun. Ice climbing in Pyhä is definately something to be recommended!

A wonderful experience - Having climbed a lot indoors as well as sports climbing and a little trad I felt that I'd missed out on ice climbing as I came close to my 50th (I did the climbthe day before my 50th). My wife bought me a one on one solo guided ice climbing experience here in Pyhä Finland. 3 things made my experience memorable. Firstly, Finland. The fins are super friendly, very helpful and are amazingly polite. Pyhä is stunningly beautiful. The lakes, hills and woods. Secondly, the ice wall. The location is stunning with three main routes that have many different possibilities. The wall is under lit so, despite the sun going down at 1330, I could always see what I was doing. There was a lovely shelter and fire lit which made it very atmospheric and cosy. Thirdly, the guide/tutor was wonderful. She really made the experience for me. Her knowledge and concise tutoring were easy to understand and follow meaning I quickly felt confident and safe up on the ice. I really felt I achieved everything I was able to, and I had a great climb. All in all a wonderful experience! What a way to see in my birthday! Thanks Bliss

Arturi was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. Safe and fun and humorous and challenging. Highly recommend. - Really great family experience, we took our 7 and 12 year olds. Excellent equipment, fun activity. Our guide Arturi was very helpful and encouraging

Good climbing - The experience was really good, you can see that the guides really were professionals. The only thing that could be better is coach approach. There was ona guide from Indonesia that was absolutely amazing, and a woman that was unfortunately a bit unpleasant
