Yarra Valley - After departing, the journey to the first venue will take 60 minutes. During the drive, guests are invited to add songs to the day’s playlist via Spotify from their phones. This time will also be used to get acquainted and discuss the day’s itinerary, allowing guests to express any specific interests.
The itinerary is designed to cater to all preferences, with choices throughout the day to ensure a perfect experience. Here’s how the day will unfold:
-
Yering Farm Wines - Enjoy tasting five wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, and a delightful Pink Lady Apple Cider at this small, family-run vineyard. The rustic, barnyard setting from the 1800s offers a charming backdrop to learn about winemaking and the varietals that thrive in this cool climate region.
-
Tokar Estate - Experience a tasting of five exquisite wines at this medium-sized, Italian-style winery. The 40-acre property features varietals like Pinot Noir and Spanish Tempranillo. Tastings often occur outdoors at picnic tables overlooking the vineyards, providing a fantastic photo opportunity. For those who prefer, beer or cider is available, along with cocktails and snacks for purchase.
-
St Huberts Cellar Door - CHOICE: The first choice of the day is the lunch venue. The popular option is ‘Quarters’ at St Huberts Estates winery, known for its excellent food and service. The menu caters to all tastes, from gourmet dishes to burgers and pizza. The QR-coded menu allows for easy ordering with wait staff. Lunch is at your own expense.
The venue is architecturally impressive, featuring a cellar door with free wine tastings and detailed paid tastings of wine, whiskey, or gin. An Indigenous art museum showcases works by First Nations artists from Victoria.
The group will be divided between this location and the next stop, Domaine Chandon.
- Domaine Chandon - CHOICE: Alternatively, enjoy lunch at Chandon’s ‘lounge bar’ with 80 minutes to savor lunch and drinks at your expense. The venue offers stunning views and exceptional sparkling wines. Note that the food portions are smaller and more expensive than at Huberts Estate, making it ideal for those with dinner plans later. The menu includes oysters and cheeseboards, but not steaks or burgers.
Chandon only serves sparkling wines, with no beer or other wines available. Please inform us before the tour if you wish to have lunch here so we can make a reservation.
The lounge bar menu differs from the restaurant’s three-hour set menu, which we don’t have time for. A quick 5-minute photo opportunity is available if desired.
Most guests enjoy a glass while taking in the scenery, so 70 minutes is ample time.
- Four Pillars Distillery - CHOICE: After lunch, a 10-minute drive takes us to Healesville, where three venues are in close proximity. At the renowned Four Pillars Gin Distillery, guests can enjoy a tasting flight of four gins with tonic or soda water. Staff will explain the gin-making process and the tasting experience. The factory floor and distillery rooms are visible through windows.
For those who prefer, alternative drinks are available.
Alternatively, consider…
-
Payten & Jones Wines - CHOICE: Instead of the gin distillery, enjoy a wine tasting at Payten and Jones, a local favorite. Often conducted by the owners, this personal and entertaining tasting features five quality wines and is considered the best of the day. A must for those seeking Melbourne’s finest wines.
-
Watts River Brewing - CHOICE: Beer enthusiasts can visit this local brewery to sample four beers on a beer paddle, included in the price. This small craft brewery, a local favorite, offers a casual ‘dad’s garage’ vibe.
Note: Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery - At this popular and scenic location, guests will enjoy a private tasting of 10-12 chocolates over 25 minutes, followed by 30 minutes to purchase chocolates or try the delicious ice cream. A cafe is also available.
The return to Melbourne will begin around 3:50 pm.
For those who prefer not to end on a sweet note, the next stop is…
-
Yarrawood Estate - CHOICE: For those uninterested in chocolate tasting, a visit to this nearby winery offers a scenic end to the day with drinks at your own expense. This picturesque stop allows for wine or beer enjoyment. Note that choosing this option means forgoing the chocolate tasting.
-
The Hotel Windsor - The day concludes between 4:50 pm and 5:20 pm, depending on traffic. Weekdays typically end at 5 pm, while weekends may extend to 5:20 pm. The day will end with recommendations for activities, dining, and venues to explore before bidding farewell.

Twelve years ago, a surfing and camping tour was launched that gained immense popularity through word of mouth. This success was attributed to the creation of a social, relaxed, and laid-back atmosphere that everyone found refreshing and personal. Seven years ago, the same approach was applied to another passion: wine tours. The results have been outstanding!
Over the years, the itinerary has been meticulously crafted to offer participants a variety of choices throughout the day. This is achieved by selecting venues in close proximity, allowing the group to be easily divided to cater to diverse preferences.
The tour begins with an invitation to join a communal Spotify playlist, enabling participants to add songs from their own devices. The day’s plan is explained, and everyone gets to know each other naturally.
The tour includes visits to two wineries, a choice of two restaurants for lunch (at your own expense), followed by an option to visit a gin distillery, another winery, or a brewery. The day concludes with a choice between indulging in chocolate or enjoying more alcohol!
This tour is ranked #1 among all tours in Melbourne!
